2Tonic are a Medicine Head tribute act. MEMBERS!
Manf Vocals/Harmonica/Jews Harp/Mouthbow/Drum. Andy Boddington Guitar/Bass Drum/ Hi Hat/ Tambourine
Manf Writes : Formed with only 6 weeks to go before Gigbeth. Neil approached me by email 7 weeks before 1st November 2007 asking could I possibly put together a medicine head tribute act?
Rising to the challenge, I phoned everyone that I could think of that may be able to help! I had no doubts that I could do something if I had a competent guitarist to hold it together.
But not being too much in touch with the scene for about ten years this would be a tall order! At the eleventh hour a mutual friend Dan said to me "I know someone who would be interested." and the band/duo was put together over the phone and we hit it off straight away!
Since then we have put together a collection of medicine head classics, some well known and some not so well known for the Gigbeth Festival at the Rooty Frooty on the 1st of November! Manf! Update; we intend to do more ! Update 4.2.08 , We are learning new songs and are capable of doing a 1+1/2 hr set at the moment , this now incorportates some 70's/80's classics - done as you have never heard them before. Commitments elsewhere mean nothing more is likely to happen until mid March , but if you like this , then keep an eye out as it can only get better ! The name 2tonic?.... Medicine Head: Was mainly a two man band.(2) Tonic: Another name for medicine.
Forthcoming gigs (1 of 1 total): Fri 18th Jul: Finnygook Inn, Crafthole

Definitely a Tonic The Rod & Line, Tideford on Fri 18th Apr 08
A fun and friendly atmosphere was generated by this duo. The entire audience appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the experience. Obviously the most unusual element was the tuneful twanging of the Jews harp. However the great guitar playing, delightful singing, snatches of mouth organ and cracking percussion all played their part in bringing some great songs to life. My current favourites songs from their list are "Rising Sun" by Medicine Head and "Walking after midnight". Well worth the travelling to see them.

2Tonic rock Gigbeth Rooty Frooty Cafe, Birmingham on Thu 1st Nov 07
Gigbeth 2007 started with a powercut but as soon as we got going 2Tonic electrified us all with some terrific renditions of the classic 1970s Medicine Head hits. If any of you get the opportunity to see Mark and Andy please do they are brilliant. They next play on 18 April in Tideford and I hope to be there.
