 fantastic night Unusual Stars on Sat 1st Dec 07 | |
  By just after 9.00pm we had 80 paying guests through the door and with drinks prices around £1.50 a bottle, ding dong! 9.30pm the band kicked off with a quality renascent "Substitute" by The Who. For the next few songs people were just standing there, mouths open and eyes glazed over, we were watching nothing short of pure genius talent. The play list got better and better with songs like "The swords of a thousand men", "Babylon's burning", "Trumpton Riots", "Liberate" and "England belongs to me", to name but a few. Absolutely brilliant, a full dance floor, the whole pub was now bouncing. The band rounded off an excellent second set with Wizzard's "I wish it could be Christmas every day", and with bands like this, enough said! A fantastic night with no trouble, and memories to treasure.
A big thank you to Steve, the band and Theresa and all who supported us.

It was a great night, we thoroughly enjoy playing and I think it shows. It makes it even more worthwhile when its to an appreciative audience. Hope to see you all at Micawbers on Jan 19th.

| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
