private party on Sat 16th Feb 08
Had a 50th birthday party, we know the barracoodas as we have seen them a few times before, so we decided to have them play at the party, they were brill we had over 130 people and 3 quarters had never heard them before but now you have lots more fans. all i am geting now is they were brill and whens the next party . they played a real good rocking set starting with bowies jean genie then going on with the likes of the undertones, snow patrol, and the awe inspiring ac,dc whole lotta rosie etc etc .all interspersed with typical baracoodas wit and humor. this band really know how to work the crowd and we loved every minute of it . if you want to rock the night away you wont go far wrong with these guys.

Reply from BarraCoodas: Thanks Graham and Tracy, and happy birthday, glad we helped make it a good night, but the stairs were a pain!
See you next time we're in the Torrington area.
Whole Lotta Barracoodas Royal Standard, Shaldon on Sat 12th Jan 08
Have been trying to catch this band for a long time and am so glad I finally caught up with them! They didn't disappoint. From the moment they struck the first chord of the "Jean Genie" they had everybody's attention. They slid effortlessly between songs mixing indie with rock and blues. "Whole Lotta Rosie" blew me away and Shaun's vocals on "Californication" melted me!
These guys are so funny to - the banter they had with the crowd was hysterical. They go from self deprecating to crowd heckling and we loved it!
There wasn't a huge crowd in the Standard but the hospitality and atmosphere was A1. These guys certainly gave their all.
If you want a top night out you can't beat these guys for awesome music and sheer entertainment value. Can't wait to see them again!

Rockin The House The Ship Hotel, Crediton on Sat 11th Aug 07
This was my first time watching the band, but I'd heard good things about them and went along with an open mind to find myself completely blown away! The mix of music from rockabilly (Stray Cats) meandering through to heavy rock (Black Sabbath) - even throwing in Bryan Adams for the girlies, kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. The entertainment value of the boys themselves, with their self-depreciating wit and occasional swear word thrown in for good measure was enough to keep the crowd happy. They encouraged participation from everyone there, good or bad, and had a ready answer for everything as well as the right song for right occasion (Whole lot of Rosie & She knows who she is).
The boys are a very likeable, not unpleasant to look at, entertaining bunch, with some real musical talent too.
I would recommend anyone considering going along to one of their gigs to do so & any pubs/clubs out there looking for a band to get the crowd going & get some real characters in - then look no further.

Great band! The Lime Tree, Paignton on Fri 27th Jul 07
From Muddy Waters to Muse via The Beatles & The Beastie boys, they were great as always, even with a stand-in drummer. The musical variety is amazing and they play much better than they say they can!
The place was a bit quiet because of the carnival but those of us who were there had a really good time, and a chat with the band to boot!
Well worth going to see.
