A four-piece acoustic covers band playing popular music from the 60's to present day.
Having spent some time in the South West music scene we found that many venues were unable to find a band capable of delivering an evening's entertainment where the audience could sing along while the bar staff could still hear them speak. So we created Best Kept Secret to fill the gap.
Using acoustic instruments, some hand held percussion and vocal harmonies our music can be laid back & relaxed, but also have plenty of energy to keep an audience singing along all night.
If needed we can play entirely acoustically without amplification. Or we can bring along a drummer and play electric guitars for a bigger sound. We're very versatile!

We had a great time a few weeks ago at the Wellington Food Town event - it was lovely to see so many familiar faces. As always, the Pen and Quill gig at the beginning of October was another enjoyable night.
We're playing in Taunton this coming Friday at the Cricketers on Station Road, and hope you'll be able to make it.

Pen & Quill last month - we had a great time and we hope that

Well it's been a few months since we last appeared in your
inbox. Although we have been appearing regularly thoughout
the first few months of the year, we've all been busy both
at work, and play. More recently we've been enjoying a few
weeks off from the usual hectic schedule of Best Kept
Secret.
After this short break we're all ready to go again with new
songs by Queen, Paolo Nutini, Pink and Take That(!) ready to
try out on you all, and perhaps a few older songs going to
re-appear in the set list too.
There are a couple of chances to hear us on "home territory"
in Taunton in the next few weeks with The Cricketers on
Friday 18th May, and Brazz the Friday after (25th)

We're delighted to announce that we will be appearing at The Cricketers, Station Road, Taunton (formerly known as The Royal Charlotte, and before that, The Royal Mail) on Friday 26th January.
Those of you who've been with us since the very beginning might remember that this was the place where we played our very first official gig, way back in December 2003. In addition, this date will also mark our 100th gig together.
We hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate this
significant event on our musical journey together.

AVAILABLE NOW!!!! "Revealed" is the debut album from Best Kept Secret, featuring an eclectic mix of covers of songs by artists such as Dido, Suzanne Vega, Joni Mitchell, Oasis, KT Tunstall, REM and The Beautiful South.
The recordings range from simple "as live" tracks to full blown arrangements with overdubbed vocals and additional keyboard and percussion.
The album was recorded in the Best Kept Secret's own studio, and was entirely self financed and produced.
