Blue Swayed Blues[Blues, 4 piece]

Blue Swayed Blues originated in about 2001,and went through the usual situations with transient musicians. It now exists with three members of the band who previously played together for many years in a well known local group.
They have now found a musical genre to which many musicians eventually aspire - the Blues! The music that comes from the soul and from personal expression.
Not a flashy cover band, but honest rockin' blues. The no nonsense singer and front man Paul, also plays cool harp and guitar. Nice vocals and interaction between band members. every solo is a knockout. Nigel with his 'full on' bass guitar style, and Chris with brilliant lead/slide guitar. The band has been joined by Sean (he runs Bunker Recording Studio, Dunkerswell. Tel 0775 2857317), whose percussion style has provided the final ingredient, co-ordinating the band into the tight blues unit you hear today.
Drawing from Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Eric Clapton, Kenny Neil, Buddy Guy and the like, the bands repertoire also includes great renditions of some specially selected rock 'n roll numbers.
CD's are available.
The band also run a 'Blues Club', at the New Inn, Broadclyst, Nr Exeter, on every first Sunday of the month. Blue Swayed Blues, 11th Hour, Lips Fingers & Thumbs, UHT, & Alan on Delta Blues guitar, all appear at various times. The evenings entertainment usually includes several of the above artistes. Other Blues artistes who wish to take part are welcome.

 Nice one The Kings Arms, Otterton on Sat 29th Apr 06 | |
 Seen them a couple of times, not a flashy cover band, but honest R&B, no nonsense singer frontman who also plays cool harp and guitar. The bass player and drummer looked like they were having a great time, nice vocals and interaction from the female singer, the lead guitar player was grinning all the time, every solo a knock out ! Don't miss them! | |
