best ever Tribu2e on Sat 3rd Nov 07
This band has got to be the best band I have ever heard and that is no exaggeration.
The whole band were amazing musicians and the singer had masses of charisma and the most powerful voice I have ever heard. This guy knocked spots off Bono and I reckon this band were even better than the real thing.

well worth a watch! Polly & Paul on Wed 14th Feb 07
This duo have been playing around the bay for a while now and get better and better - I have seen them a few times in Brixham, Paignton and Newton Abbot.
Polly has such a lovely voice and it really does make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, she puts such feeling into her songs, and Paul is great on the guitar too.
A great range of covers, her acoustic 'Wish I Was a Punk Rocker' was truly fab, plus Scissor Sisters and Kooks and now they are writing their own songs too - 'If U Wanna' and 'Alright' are really catchy. A professional duo.

Quirky Polly & Paul on Wed 14th Feb 07
I accidentally came to watch this duo, I was just meeting a "date" in a pub in Brixham and I was only planning to stay for an hour but I ended up watching the whole set. It was great to go to a pub watch and listen to some live music and can still hear the person you are with. To me they seemed like the perfect entertainment (If I wanted a big rowdy band I would go to a concert, not a pub!!!). It was fun and quirky without being gimmicky and they played some obvious covers, some not so obvious ones which you could still sing along to and also their own stuff. I have been to see them a few times now and I can remember the lyrics to that mp3 song a bit "If you wanna shout then just shout, if you wanna..." - catchy! Polly has a really good voice too, it's unique and easy to listen to. I also went to see them at the Brixham happenin' and they were awesome, especially the Sandi Thom song, it's my favourite! My daughter even danced around to that one!
I would recommend them.

The best got better... Marnie on Sun 7th Jan 07
I've seen Marnie play a couple of times before and was already impressed with the skill and talent of both singer and guitarist.
So I went back to The Bolton to see more of the same, but I didn't get it. Oh no. Marnie have just get better and better. More songs, excellent versions of covers and haunting original melodies all sounding better than ever.
Favourite bit for me was when their original song "Lose Control" (which Lemonrock made MP3 of the week) ran on into "Let Me Entertain You". Peach.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
