Wow! What a voice! The Lounge Bar & Restaurant, Watford on Sun 4th May 08
I've been keen to come and see Charlotte perform for some time and last night I finally did! Her vocals are rich and note perfect! John on guitar complimented her beautifully with fabulous playing!
They did a wide range of styles too from Eva Cassidy to Gnarls Barkley!
Thanks both of you for such a fab evenng (and for letting me get up to do a couple of tunes too!)..

All that Jazz The Rivermill Tavern, Eaton Socon on Wed 28th Mar 07
This is not the first time I have been fortunate enough to catch Charlotte playing at The Rivermill, and once again I stand impressed by not only her wonderful voice, but obvious enthusiasm for her work; a fixed smile on her face for the duration of the gig demonstrates her passion.
Soaring, open vocals, and the ability to turn her hand from one style to another with a seamless join expressed the adaptability of this extremely professional artist.
John's acoustic guitar work was intricate, delicate and filled with light and shade, which could only help complement Charlotte's vocals.
If there was a downside to this performance, it was simply that there were not enough people there that night to witness it. If Charlotte is appearing at a venue near you, I suggest you pay a visit; even if the songs are not your choice or taste, there is no doubting the ability and talent of this act. "Keep Music Live" is the motto of the Musicians Union; and it doesn't come much more "live" than this act!

Reply from Charlotte Collingwood: Hi Dave. Thanks for the review. We always enjoy The Rivermill Tavern, both as performers and spectators. It's a unique venue with friendly locals, and a lovely location particularly in the summer. Hope to see you again next time we're there.
opera with bits The Well, Hitchin on Tue 20th Feb 07
I am not sure if I arrived late or just in time as things seemed to be on the way, but not yet started. There were lots of people milling around dressed up and ready to go.
Having a pint in front of me, the 'two opera ladies' started. It was simply a joy. I have no idea what the real name of the aria as called, but everyone will know it as the backing for the BA advert. To me this was the most enjoyable part of the evening as from that point on it was mixed.
This was not a bad mix, as other people enjoyed the things that I do not like from the London stage, such as Cats. But maybe this is the reason that I do not go to London, Stevenage or elsewhere to see these things.
The biggest plus were the voices. All three ladies were great, but the only man there was a little overpowered by them.

Reply from Charlotte Collingwood: Thanks for your review. The "British Airways" song is "The Flower Duet" (Sous le dôme épais) from Delibes's opera Lakmé.
impressed The Old White Horse, Baldock on Sun 9th Apr 06
A varied selection of numbers, which I thought were a joy to listen to. Both Charlotte and John gave a well presented performance that was appreciated all round. Good guitar from John and a lovely voice from Charlotte. Both myself and my mate Noel were very impressed. Nice venue, good music, lovely people, definitely worth seeing again. Great way to spend a Sunday!
