Jaw-dropping! Red Cow, West Drayton on Sat 24th Nov 07
This band is a winner!
A disinterested crowd in a run down pub were surprisingly blown away with songs that have grown overly familiar through years of play yet seemed fresh and new because of a vigorous, muscular performance.
They certainly made new friends in West Drayton and we wish them luck.

Addictive The New Inn, Basingstoke on Sat 15th Sep 07
Great band. Hard hitting and fast rockers from start to finish. The band entertain their audience by doing a visual energetic combination of classic rock covers and originals.
If there was any dust on the walls before they took stage, it was all blown away when they finished.
I have seen all their gigs in Basingstoke up until now, and have never been disappointed. The whole pub "rocks", a great evening for all. My advice to those who have not yet seen The Chevrons, go to the next Gig and you will be addicted!

Reply from The Chevrons: Yes this was a good gig for THE CHEVRONS despite guitar amplifier problems
hard night The Brookhouse, Hayes on Thu 8th Jun 06
I had been told by a couple of friends from other bands about how big a band the Chevrons are, and had also checked out the website, and was looking forward to being blown away, but I wasn't. They play a lot of similar material to every other band, so it does get repetitive, and it just seemed a little too tame. But maybe that's because of the Brookhouse permanent diet of rock, who knows? Thursday is a hard night down there.
| Lisa, Tue 1st Aug 06 | |
Reply from The Chevrons: I would agree with Lisa that this was not a very good gig due to both not having our usual bass player and drummer( illness and holiday) - the song selection was therfore limited - and Thursday being dead nights at The Brooke House.
We will be returning to The Brook House on a Friday and with complete Chevrons line up.
Thanks for a top night The Royston Arms, Chingford on Sat 1st Apr 06
I heard a lot about this band and as they were playing locally I thought I'd check them out. The Chevrons play a mix of blues, soul and rock covers mixed with some of their own fine original material. A four piece with a tight sound and a big, heavy rock drum sound. A true delight, made more so that one guitarist managed to cover the sound of three! They also laid down some blistering rock 'n' roll standards and a few blues standards.
Their own material is of high standard mixing an r'n'b sound (proper r'n'b not this cack in the charts today!) with a rock rhythm. By the end of the set they had the audience in the palm of their hands and encored with The Faces' "Stay With Me". The vocalist has a style somewhere between Rod Stewart (pre-80's), Joe Cocker and the late, great Steve Marriott. Good, strong range and ideally suited to the songs that make-up the set. Thanks to the Chevrons for a top night!
