 Chris Flegg is a St Albans based singer guitarist with a varied folk club act which includes original material, sometimes with a jazz/blues flavour. Resident at Windward Folk Club. He also plays jazz venues with duo and trio lineups and runs the monthly jam sessions at the Duke of Marlborough, St Albans (third Thursday each month) | |

 Multi-talented The Portland Arms, St Albans on Sun 26th Jun 05 | |
  Having never seen Chris play before, I had a great time at the Portland Arms last night. Chris is a great guitar player. He played fingerstyle jazz standards and rock/blues covers solo whilst singing with a very professional voice. He played tunes by The Who, Billie Holiday, Buddy Holly and Dizzy Gillespie and made them sound as if there was no problem liking all these different types of music. Having tried to play solo jazz guitar myself, I know how difficult it is to make it sound musical in front of an audience. And to do that whilst singing...........forget it! He also played some very nice tenor saxxophone! Chris is great and I recommend him to anyone. | |
