 Great Night! 4 Rock's Sake on Sat 12th Jan 08 | |
  4 rock's sake go and see them, you won't be disappointed!
They did excellent versions of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "School's Out" and "Born To Be Wild".
They only formed a couple of months ago but are coming together very well and you can see them at The Coach House for nothing but the cost of a few drinks! | |

This new band really rock! Great choice of numbers, very entertaining - even my mum enjoyed them!
I loved the stage presence and the music was a great blend, a pub band and beyond I think. They were very professional and had good rapport with the punters. | |

What a great new band - their enthusiasm and enjoyment of what they do really shone through, rolling out classic rock number after classic rock number. Everyone of all ages in the Coach House had a great time - several making it to the dance floor.
We have seen Phil and Kim in action before and their new line up with Mike and Kim showed a well rounded entertaining band - the drumming in "Black Magic Woman" was awesome and the guitars and vocals showed real talent.
We're sure to see lots more of them in the Torbay area. Let's hope they come to Plymouth too! | |

Kim and I are very pleased that we have been able to find such talented guys in Mike (Vocals/guitar) and Nigel (Drums). They have taken the band to another level. Hopefully 4 Rock's Sake will be around for a very long time! We can't wait for the next gig! | |

  StakeOut's last gig apparently. Shame, cos they were much more than just another "covers" band. There was a change of line-up this time, which makes me think (and hope) that something good will emerge from this in time.
Two of the five were new to the band, the drummer and the female singer, but for the life of me I couldn't "see the join". I'd say they were 95% tight as you like, real high energy that got people on the dance-floor, with just a couple of minor glitches. There's a smattering of the usual familiar covers, and then they're not afraid to do stuff that's really off the wall, irresistible! Plus in the half-time break, the male singer performed a few of his own songs on acoustic guitar. Whatever happens next, I really hope the individual musicians do not disappear from the scene cos that would be a massive waste of talent. | |

Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
