Richard Digance & Arnie Cottrell's pageRichard Digance & Arnie Cottrell Richard Digance has performed to an audience of eight in The Falklands and to half a million at Knebworth with The Beach Boys and Dire Straits. He's done lots in between too that's led him to a BAFTA Nomination and a Gold Award from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. He also finds nine letter words on Countdown. He has survived all trends in comedy and music and remains one of Britain's most unique entertainers performing his songs, rhymes and stories like nobody else. Others may tell stories and play guitar but they probably haven't performed with Steve Martin and Robin Williams or played guitar with Brian May of Queen, Status Quo or Joni Mitchell and probably supporting more acts than anyone else in the World; Steeleye Span, David Essex, Supertramp, Elkie Brooks, Joan Armatrading, Cat Stevens, Jethro Tull, Jim Davidson, Chas n Dave, The Allman Brothers and Cher, Roy Orbison, Tom Jones, Mike Oldfield and The Beach Boys
His TV specials for ITV ran for a record 11 years and on these shows he played guitar with Brian May, Status Quo, The Moody Blues, Buffy St Marie, Marc Cohn who wrote Walking in Memphis, Chris de Burgh, Juan Martin and Elkie Brooks. This show is purely music with Richard performing with renowned Southampton acoustic blues/roots artist Arnie Cottrell. This is one of only 6 tour dates - don't miss it. 8pm - 10.30pm

Dave Kelly's pageDave Kelly One of the very best blues vocalists and slide guitarists this country has produced.Dave is well known for his 20+ years with The Blues Band but from the beginning he's played with some of the greatest blues artists in the world - including Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Son House & Buddy Guy.He's had his own Dave Kelly Band on and off for over 20 years, as well as performing solo and touring an acoustic blues duo show with Paul Jones - this man simply lives and loves the blues!
When The Blues Band was formed in 1979, the post of slide guitarist and joint vocalist was a foregone conclusion, Dave Kelly's guitar and vocals form the very backbone of The Blues Band's distinctive sound.
Today, after 21 years 'treading the boards' with the band, with his solo albums, duo tours with Paul Jones, and soundtrack work (for commercials and such projects as BBC TV's 'King of the Ghetto' and the Comic Strip's 'Strike!') Dave Kelly is firmly estabished as Europe's premier blues performer. 8pm - 10.30pm

Baddest Blues Band ever & Harry Skinner&Dave Saunders's pageBaddest Blues Band ever & Harry Skinner&Dave Saunders First of the Summers outdoor concerts at The Courtyard and a double headline Jazzy-Blues bill for Lulworth! Both main acts are well known and popular on the local blues circuit, the 6 piece 'Baddest blues band - ever' being formed by Rob Koral and Zoe Schwarz are an earthy, modern blues band in which the funkiest musicians from the parallel worlds of blues, jazz and rock return to their roots. Sultry and charismatic vocalist Zoë Schwarz is propelled by ace jazz and blues guitarist Rob Koral and blistering blues harp man Si Genaro. The achingly groovy all-star rhythm section features happening Hammond organist Mike Gorman, jet-setting jazz double bassist Malcolm Creese and dynamite drummer Dave Wallace. This band is guaranteed to get you rocking!

Harry Skinner and Dave Saunders have played just about every Blues and Jazz festival there is in the UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand both as ex members and founders of the award winning blues band The Producers and in their own right. They have also played at the Atlanta Blues Festival in the US and opened concerts for such musical giants as Fleetwood Macs Peter Green, Taj Mahal, Albert Lee, Procol Harum, Jeff Healy and the Ray Charles Orchestra. An opportunity to experience musical quality of this standard on the same bill happens very rarely, as such, this show looks like a promising funky blues night out!

Lisa Mills & Ian Jennings's pageLisa Mills & Ian Jennings Lisa Mills from Mobile Alabama is an exceptional singer and songwriter singing in Janis Joplins first band 'Big Brother and the Holding Company' after Janis' demise performing all of the Janis Joplin parts, while given the freedom to give her own interpretation of the music. She toured with BBHC for three years throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. She has been compared to Etta James, Billie Holiday and Brenda Lee but her main comparison is an extraordinary vocal similarity to Bonnie Raitt.
Led Zeppelins Robert Plant found her and had no hesitation in asking her to open his American stadium shows - they have performed on the same bills across the US and Europe. Lisa also appeared with Dr John on his UK tour last October and, although she has played in front of more than 40,000 people Lisa admits to liking it best when she can connect with her audience. Accompanied by Ian Jennings of Big Town Playboys/Jeff Beck/Van Morrison/Eric Clapton fame on upright Bass we are all in for a treat! Take Robert Plants advice 'You should all check her out - she has a wonderful voice'. 8pm - 10.30pm

Stipe's pageStipe A consistantly popular and professional act Stipes audiences grow with every appearance, and rightly so - a fantastic night of classic REM. One of the biggest bands to emerge from the 70's, REM, with their charismatic singer Michael Stipe ( complete with blue stripe across his face!) proceeded to tear the singles and album charts up with those famous hit melodies and establish themselves as world class musicians. Well, this is Stipe and REM is what they do -very well! They are the UKs foremost REM tributes playing 2 hours of all the classics. You'll find yourself singing along to songs you didn't realise you knew - 'Man on the Moon', Losing my Religion', 'Everybody Hurts' and many, many more. A superb stage show not to be missed by any serious REM fan.

Some reviews from Stipes gig at The Limelight, Crewe....
'By the time the band started there must have been at least 400 people there'
'A packed venue with high expectations to hear the music of the world's greatest band - R.E.M., take it from me they were not disappointed.'
'Stipe's outstanding performance of R.E.M. music is second to none, not to be missed, 'if you love R.E.M. then Stipe is never going to let you forget it'. 8pm - 11pm
