Fun and Games at the Engine. The Engine, Baldock on Sat 28th Jun 08
Review NOT edited by Lemonrock - original text Good fun on Saturday night as always. It was like being on tour with the Stones - not that I know from personal experience, of course, but I am currently reading Ronnie Wood's autobiography so that obviously makes me an expert on such matters! Great music from the stage and a lively audience!

We have now been following Crop Circle for three years and they're not tired of playing and we're not tired of going along to see them. They have a lot of fun and therefore they create a lot of fun. Perhaps they won't be playing Wembley Arena any time shortly but they deliver an energetic set of songs with a lot of enthusiasm.

Just one request please - bring back "Radar Love"!
Alison, Mon 30th Jun 08
Reply from crop circle: thanks Alison - Radar Love is due to make a comeback anytime soon
Fantastic Party Night The Harrier, Hatfield on Sat 14th Jun 08
Review NOT edited by Lemonrock - original text I am the Landlord at The Harrier (Hatfield's finest pub!) and following a recommendation I booked Crop Circle for a customer's 50th Birthday Party at my pub. They have a strong local following and the venue was packed.

The Harrier isn't known for live music but Crop Circle really got the party rocking. They are all accomplished musicians and the overall sound was excellent too. Their choice of music was spot on for the party crowd (classic rock, pop & soul) and I am still getting compliments about the band daily from my regulars.

A memorable night, brilliant! Thanks guys.

Paul - Landlord @ The Harrier.

Reply from crop circle: thanks Paul for a great review, we really enjoyed the night - colin
Saturday Night's Alright for Dancin The Engine, Baldock on Sat 5th Apr 08
Review NOT edited by Lemonrock - original text rated as one of our top reviews In the dark mists of time (1979/1980) I lived just outside Chicago and, during my time in the US, I was amazed at how many bars had live music and, even better, I was stunned at how good they all were. Came back to the UK at the end of 1980 and from that day on I have mourned the absence of live music in bars over here, people who haven't given up the day jobs, but who play for the love of it, enjoy themselves and, most importantly, the audience catch on and love it as well.

"Crop Circle" take me back to those halcyon days in the States - they played "The Engine" at Baldock on Saturday and rocked the crowd. And I learned something, I realised that I had under estimated the power of AC/DC as a lot of people (and they weren't that old!) knew the words to "Whole Lotta Rosie". There was headbanging, air guitars and a lot of silliness generated by the five blokes on stage.

I think we've seen "Crop Circle" about seven times or so and I think it's safe to say that, as long as they keep going, we'll keep going to see them. They sing songs connected to people I once met - does being in hospital with Marc Bolan's auntie count (I kid you not!)? By the way, if you ever change your name, how about "The Trouble Boys" (Thin Lizzy)?
Alison Petrie, Mon 7th Apr 08
Reply from crop circle: thanks Alison - much appreciated
Live music lives! The Engine, Baldock on Sat 15th Sep 07
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. rated as one of our top reviews I first went to see Crop Circle because their guitarist is a friend of my next door neighbours - I now go and see them them because they're excellent. Great music played by people who obviously enjoy what they're doing although it bothers me slightly that I probably possess 99% of the songs they play!

Very entertaining as always at The Engine on Saturday - glad to know that decent live music still exists in this country and you don't have to pay £100 (Police tickets anyone?) to get in!

If you haven't seen them, and your record collection is overloaded with 60s, 70s and 80s rock, make the effort - after all, what's wrong with having a good time?
Alison, Wed 19th Sep 07
Reply from crop circle: Alison - thanks very much for the review and glad you enjoy our gigs - see you again soon!! colin

[Thu 15th Mar 07] new circle bass player Rhett K... new circle bass player Rhett Keene made his debut with the band on saturday 10th march at Seamus's Potters Bar - a good friendly crowd turned up, including some familiar faces and I think a fine night was had by all - Rhett's appearence brought the average age of the band down by several years
