"DAVE CAN'T DANCE" have entered their 4th year as Devon's premier Disco/Funk outfit. They are constantly working on perfecting their neo-disco sound - with re-workings of classic disco era tunes and funked up contemporary covers, the bands sound simply mesmerizes audiences young and old.
"DAVE CAN'T DANCE" perform at many Weddings, Birthdays and Private functions across the South of England and are available for 2008/09 bookings NOW!
They are proud to have Chris, of "Ballistic Sound Systems" on board as their resident sound engineer. They can offer you a tailor-made full, funky gig of "DCD" entertainment and DJ-style music between their sets to keep your party swinging!
The Band have concentrated on function work over the last 4 years and "DAVE CAN'T DANCE" really love the pub circuit ("The real test of any band"). They are unleashing their unique blend of disco / funk / rock to audiences across England. Their many private functions come about as a result of the pub circuit but also from the numerous hits on their web-site from new and existing fans.

 what a fantastic night I've seen dave cant dance a couple of times now and they never disappoint, the greatest funk band in the south west for sure.
Excellent musicians and the singer can definitely hold a note, wow what a voice. I didn't stop dancing all night nor did the rest of the pub!
They played classic after classic, Disco Inferno, Love shack, Car wash to mention a few and the best version of I Feel Love I have ever heard!!

Wow, we had heard that Dave cant dance were good,but were not prepared for what we heard and saw.
We had enquired to hiring the band for our wedding upon recomendation from friends,so thought we'd better check them out for ourselves first! (they're booked)
The first set had the crowd roaring with delight- one hour and ten minutes of pumping classics like -Get up off that thing(James Brown), stevie wonders I wish and Filthy gorgeous and even a blistering rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Fire.
The second set included classic disco tunes such as:Disco Inferno ,Le Freak, Lost in music and carwash all played at an incredable tempo- the lads didn't falter once even with two foot wide Afro wigs on.
In conclusion, we came, we saw, we booked , we bought the t-shirts a stunning overall performance from one of the best bands we have seen!!see you again soon,

 What a fantastic well polished band. Their music blew the kegs outta the cellar they were that good.
The pub was packed. Even dancing up the stairs the place was that full.
Their arrangements of songs sound even better than the originals. I wish I had asked if they did a CD, as I would play their songs full blast any time of the day or night.
So many great songs, brought memories flooding back from my youth (hey, not that old, cheeky).
New twists on recent chart hits, very very funky...
Lansdowne when are you having them back again?

A night to remember at the Ferryboat Inn with a lively blend of funk and disco, delivered by an enthusiastic group. Without a hint of the usual "pub rock," Dave Can't Dance entertained the audience with classics such as "Superstition" and newer songs by artists including The Scissor Sisters. The band was obviously a hit, as the normally restrained locals could be seen dancing away to the music.
The enthusiasm and charisma of the band is obvious and infectious, making them a pleasure to hear.
A refreshing change to the usual live music - one to get the people dancing. | |
