Delta Dukes[Rock/Blues, 4 piece]
Delta DukesDelta Dukes are a four piece band comprising of bass, drums, two guitars and vocals.
Between them they have decades of experience of playing live music in many and varied locations. From pubs, clubs, weddings and parties to festivals and Home Park (Plymouth Argyle's) football stadium. They have been entertaining audiences across the South West for the last three years.
With their particular brand of 'good time music' they are probably best described as putting the 'roots and rhythm back into rock 'n' roll'. Delta Dukes have been steadily building a following of dedicated fans by their energetic and exciting live performances. Their professional attitude to performance, coupled with the enthusiasm the music generates, has meant that they are constantly in demand from promoters and punters alike throughout the region. Heres what the Landlords said; "Spunkiest Band that play here " - Thistle . "Landlords favourite band"- Crafthole . "Best Gig" - Rod and Line . "You guys should be playing at Wembley" - Rod and Line punter !
"This gentleman would like to buy you guys a drink " - The Ship .
"Where are you guys playing next ?" ...................

Delta Dukes are jumping The Thistle, Plymouth on Sat 19th Jan 08
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. The Delta Dukes are a four piece band. They had the Thistle Park in Plymouth absolutely jumping.
They played a range of songs, including Radar Love, most of which were great for dancing.
The lead singer's voice is really tuneful, yet at times so full of passion and gutsy. The guitar playing is excellent, including a bit of slide, and there were a couple of stunning drum solos.
A music fan, Sun 20th Jan 08
Crafthole was Duked Finnygook Inn, Crafthole on Fri 13th Oct 06
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. rated as one of our top reviews The band is just what Crafthole needs, a wake up call to live music!

I was intrigued from the outset as the band set up. Watching one of the guitarists tune up, with his neat little tuner that he also uses to tune his thumb into a C?
The band ease you into the set with a good rhythmic tune that has a bit of attitude, gradually changing the the tempo and style of music from Torn Down to Golden Earring's 'Radar Love'. They play a real good mix of Rock & Blues and have a very good time doing it. Right from the outset it is plain to see this band have put the time in, they know what they're doing and do it very well.
The bass player never sweats he seems as cool as you like, the drummer - does, but he plays a "mean bongo." They are as solid as you can get, one keeps the pulse while the other keeps the beat (the heart of the band) when you hear them do Radar Love just close your eyes, it could be Golden Earring in the room. The singer/guitarist plays bottle neck guitar, a bit of rhythm and even joins in with the lead - oh and he can sing as well! I kept expecting an AC/DC tune to come out but they didn't - he has that Angus edge to his voice. Last but not least Sir sweat alot on the lead guitar, I'm sure he came out the womb with a guitar. He absolutely loves it and it shows, he will never get fat, he jumps about too much but, he never misses a beat. If I ever needed a band for a wedding or a party the Delta Dukes would be there.
A refreshing change from Mr acoustic and the Beatles.
A really nice bunch of blokes, buy 'em a pint and they'll even talk to you.

Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page.
