Diamondogz - The 70's Glam Rock Experience.
We are a sensational, sparkly, colourful 70's Glam Rock tribute featuring 4 spunky boys and 1 gorgeous girl. We are based in Devon and play anywhere and everywhere - we have been as far as Germany, Guernsey and Great Yarmouth (a long way from Devon!).
People often say to us 'where do you get so much energy?' and 'you look like you are having so much fun on stage' and 'are you a man or a woman?'.
We wear the full glam outfits and make up and perform totally live well-known party hits from David Bowie, Slade, Sweet, T-Rex, Bay City Rollers, Mud, Gary Glitter, Alvin Stardust, Suzi Quatro, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Mott The Hoople, Abba and more!
The Diamondogz can also perform a David Bowie tribute.

| | Diamondogz at Burnworthy Manor, Churchstanton Well this should be interesting: Burnworthy Manor is a 13th century manor house with 1,200 acres of woodlands, valleys, streams and open meadows nestling in the Blackdown hills of Somerset. The ideal get away for the discerning shooter.
Burnworthy offers you and your guests the chance to be treated like the Lord of the Manor for a day.
So if we're playing in a big posh house , well actually outside - they won't let us in, I think everyone should wear a hat - that's what the 'lordy' types get up to, isn't it? 8pm - midnight Fundraiser for the church. Ticket details to follow. £TBC |

Stunning Visual Performance The Railwayman, Exeter on Sat 15th Mar 08
When you are on the look out for a band to hire for a 50th birthday party, you have so many things to consider. Will the old ones think it's too loud, will they know the words, will the young ones get it and will they have ever heard the tracks on their mp3s? Well this band ticks all the boxes, we, the old ones loved every second, loud, yes, but we didn't care, taking us back to our teenage years we knew all the words to everything they played and sang along at the top of our voices. The younger ones were stunned by the performance, glam rock they may never have seen before, but boy did they love the electric atmosphere, the costumes, the theatre, and yes somehow they knew all the words and rocked with us all night long!
| Andy - North Devon, Mon 24th Mar 08 | |
Reply from Diamondogz: Thank you Andy for your words! It was indeed a great atmosphere at the Railwayman - almost on our doorstep, but a place we had not played before. We have just booked in our next gig at the Railwayman - on October 11th. Looking forward to it!

Did them proud! Exmouth Football Club, Exmouth on Sat 22nd Sep 07
Saturday night proved why we still go after all these years! It was a re-opening night for the club and The Dogz did them proud - the sound was fantastic the band looked fantastic (as usual) and it shows they enjoy performing together.
Visually they are a pleasure to watch and to listen to and their set list is varied but always flows together. In the audience even the teenage girls were bopping and a brave handful of young children glammed up - so nice to see!
Let's hope it was the first of many visits to the club.
| Louise and Paul, Mon 24th Sep 07 | |
Reply from Diamondogz: Thanks guys! It was indeed a splendid night, and made an interesting change to have screaming teenagers instead of screaming adults at the front of the audience!
what a show! The Quay, Exeter on Sun 26th Aug 07
I came down to the quay with my hubby and 5 year old daughter and WOW, it was an absolutely outstanding performance by the Diamondogz.
My daughter wasn't too happy that we had to leave because it was bedtime!
Being a singer myself (just starting out), I picked up lots of ideas by just observing what the band members were doing on stage.

Dogz on Heat! The Spinning Wheel, Paignton on Fri 13th Jul 07
We travelled 200 miles to see these guys play again. They are excellent. They really enjoy what they do and it shows in their performance.
The hits just kept on coming. Loved the Bay City Rollers by the way! Still think the Sweet tracks are the best. Their greatest fan, Sylvia, was there as always, supporting the guys. Just can't describe how much we enjoyed it. Well done boys.

[Wed 14th May 08] Diamondogz play a Butlins BIG Weekend! Hello, Yes at last we have managed to get a toe in the door at the Butlins BIG 70s Weekend. These events happen at Skegness, Minehead and Bognor a couple of times a year, at each place. Last weekend, 10th May, we performed at Bognor, where Slade and Les McKeown were headlining the weekend. There was a ridiculous 8 hours to kill between arrival and performance, but we managed to waste some time sitting in the sun, and watching apparently sane 'grown ups' having water fights, drinking, swearing and running around in thongs (the boys). The mood of the place changes after about 7pm when the lads & lasses fall down drunk, and the real 70s music fans appear glammed up to the top of their spikey wigs. We played a rocking 45 minute set and received some excellent feedback from the audience. In fact, it must have been pretty good as we have been re-booked at both Bognor on 5th December and Minehead on 8th June (TBC) in the last 2 days! You must try to come up and support us. Tickets are pretty cheap - check out the BIG Weekend website: http://bigweekends.butlinsonline.co.uk | [Fri 9th May 08] What have we been doing so far this year? Well we have been having so much fun this year so far.
We've played in big posh country houses, village halls with the obligatory badminton court on the floor, little packed out pubs and big empty ones. We've been to holiday parks and football clubs. We played at a wedding reception at Sandy Park and almost got blown away in a storm.
We have all been ill (especially the Crow who always has something wrong with him) but we are back on form now.
Clearly not earning quite enough money though as Spike cannot afford to get his hair cut and it is now spiralling out of control.
We are seeing a change of line up for the first time in quite a while. Foxy is leaving us to go and wave his willy at some new people. There will be another drummer sitting in his place very soon - probably with nicer teeth. We wish you luck Foxy! | [Fri 4th Jan 08] Happy New Year to the Dogz fan... Happy New Year to the Dogz fans. We start the year with a new van (all), some new slippers (Stevie), a new ringtone (Spike), a new gender (Lola/Lucy), a new bald patch (Crow), a whole new set of problems (Foxy).
Have just added all the gigs we have so far to the list, so check it out. There are a couple of new venues, and many repeats of last years best gigs, such as at the Quay in Exeter, the open air theatre in Sheldon and of course the Rock Boat!
Looking forward to throwing some new songs into the mix - the band are back in the practice room next week! | [Wed 11th Jul 07] The Royal Standard - 7th July
... The Royal Standard - 7th July It was the equivalent Saturday 2 years ago that we played at a wedding in Torquay and Lucy's waters broke on stage. 2 years on, and some members of the audience, not only at this gig, seem to think Lucy is a man. Maybe she should get a prosthetic bump, or some big false boobs... or maybe have another baby....!

| [Tue 1st Apr 08] (From Nigel Hardy : gig at The Phoenix, Exmouth on 30 March 2008) : Absolutely brilliant - the first time I have heard the band and I can assure you it won't be the last. High energy excellent vocals and everybody of all ages were rocking and singing along. 20th century boy was banging, Tiger Feet was brilliant. - Nigel Hardy | Reply from Diamondogz: Thank you Nigel - much appreciated. We have regular gigs at the Phoenix throughout the year, and also a Glam Rock Boat trip at the end of August. Tickets not on sale yet, but check back soon. Dogz xxx | | [Fri 28th Mar 08] What a brilliant night at Culmstock Village Hall, met lots of old school friends (all 50 years old now) this was our era, brought back lots of happy memories. Great show, great music! thanks Will be looking out for you close to home soon. - Caroline Bowd | Reply from Diamondogz: Thanks Caroline. Funny how we used to lots of 40ths, and now it's 50ths. Let's hope you're all still rocking on your 60th birthday party! | | [Tue 18th Dec 07] Thanks for a great evening at the christmas bash, also for the bottle of wine, starry glasses and medallion!! I was the one wearing the red dress and dodgy wig! Keep on rocking! :oP - Cherry Fildew | Reply from Diamondogz: You're more than welcome Cherry. It was a really good evening. Thanks for coming along. Maybe there'll be another one next year! Lucy | | [Wed 29th Aug 07] I took my 5 year old daughter to see you on the quay and she is now well and truly hooked!! She wants to go to all of your gigs< bless her!!!! - claire | |
