 very impressive Swan Inn, Long Melford on Sat 3rd Feb 07 | |
   The Escape Committee are a fine young band from the Colchester / Sudbury area, and this in The Melford Swan was one of their first pub gigs - very impressive too! After a short warm up set by their mates "The Bronsons", the band provided Swan regulars and their own supporters with a lively and varied set comprising all their own music. The regular audience, who more often hear a mix of pop & rock covers, were obviously impressed by the E.C's energy, musical ability and mixture of styles - everything from progressive to punk. The Melford Swan is quite a small pub - a 'cosy' venue for live bands, and the E.C. heated up a cold February night and created a fantastic atmosphere there.
The Escape Committee are clearly going places - and one place will be back to The Melford Swan - the pub management were well impressed and invited them back immediately the music stopped! | |
