  After a somewhat unsettled start trying to get the sound levels balanced on the pub's sound system the band got into their stride with their great toe-tapping numbers like "I Can't Explain", "Tobacco Road" and "We Got to Get out of This Place" as well as their own composition, "She's coming Tonight"!
They finished their first set with the audience wanting more and when they came on to do their second set just about everyone in The Famous Old Barrel (including myself, which is a very rare event!) was up on the dance floor having a really great time!
We danced along to "Mustang Sally", "Honky Tonk Woman", "Black Night", "Knock on Wood", "Breakfast in America" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" to name but a few!
The audience were enjoying Scared Stiff so much they just didn't want them to stop (not a bad response from a Sunday "tea-time" gig really)! After several encores one of the audience pleaded them to play a slow song as their very last song because they were feeling so "hyped-up"! The band obliged with a beautiful renditioning of "I put a spell on you".

The pub itself was not the best in decor, but once Scared Stiff got playing the feet started tapping and you just had to get up and dance. The dance floor was small but there was room around where most people just danced. It was hard not to dance, it was that kind of music.
The band members individually have great talent on their instruments and combined together so well and John on vocals just headed it up perfectly. They would just make any occasion come alive! | |

When you come and watch Scared Stiff be prepared to be blown away!
The band, made up of the boundless energy and the tight harmonies of Johnny, Paul, Bob and Ianto, soon have you bopping to the beat.
I really enjoyed their mix of music from the toe-tapping Animals classic, "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" to the quieter tones of Nina Simone's "I Put A Spell On You" and this talented bunch of musicians even have some of their original songs to entertain you with too.
I had a fantastic couple of hours of entertainment and I can't wait to see them in their next gig! | |

 The range of material was great, balance of instruments and the singing spot on. The guys themselves were engaging and entertaining and first gig that ends with the dance floor full of dancing women... what more could you ask for.
It will be very interesting to keep track of how they come on over the next few months - check them out if you are a punter and if you are booking bands, give them a try. | |
