A1 entertainment Pen & Quill, Taunton on Sat 7th Jul 07
Having reviewed the band last time they played at the Pen and Quill (see previous review) I thought it only fair to go back and give them another go. Fantastic is the only way to describe it, from the guitarist leaping off the tables to the crazy nutter who tried stage diving backwards into the drumkit not once but twice, everyone there was absolutely spellbound (except for the stage diver who was mostly unconscious). The atmosphere was just fantastic, something not lost on those people returning from the Jools Holland concert up the road who piled in towards the end.
I would thoroughly recommend this band to anyone, A1 entertainment.

Disgusted Pen & Quill, Taunton on Sat 28th Apr 07
Having just come back from the Pen and Quill I can't help feeling slightly cheated by this band. OK, the music was fantastic and the crowd were right there with them every step of the way but I feel I must complain that not one of them fell off anything at all. After reading the previous review I rounded up everyone I knew and off we went expecting a good laugh, some broken bones, maybe a sprained ankle or at the very least some blood; however there was not even the hint of a fall, slip or ambulance, even when the guitar player jumped up on the table during Whole Lotta Rosie. What made it worse was that no-one seemed to care at all, I mean, you don't expect much for free but I've seen Casualty and to be honest George Clooney would've been redundant if this lot played in Holby City every night. Musically they were tighter than a ducks behind and granted, the whole place was jumping, particularly during the AC/DC numbers but that's not the point, it's not all about having a good time you know.

Give us a break! The Phoenix Hotel, Chard on Fri 16th Feb 07
Any band who end their set with the guitar player falling off a pool table and being carted off to casualty are alright by me (yes I'm very hard to please), absolutely fantastically chaotic fun from start to finish.
From the opening song they never stopped running around all over the place, all of which is extremely infectious particularly when backed up by a superb sound and great light show (half expected explosions and flamepots).
Loved the Killers, the AC/DC songs, the Kaisers, great to hear some of the Slade stuff again, Somebody to Love by Queen was stunning and we were all rocking to the Automatic song but shouldn't it be 'what's that coming over the hill, is it a stretcher?'
If you want to see a great band with a great show, hear some great songs, have a good laugh and even see them injure themselves in the name of your entertainment then go and see this lot, they're full on all out aural and visual assault will guarantee a great night out.

Top Drummer The Weary Traveller, Cullompton on Sat 7th Oct 06
Seen two of this band's gigs so far and each one made for an amazing night. Just one comment tho... can the drummer come to the front one night so we get to watch him go... all the lads give it 100% but I especially liked the drummer ... go on lads give him a go at the front and I swear you'll increase your female fanbase!

| [Mon 3rd Sep 07] Imperial Hotel, WSM, 1st Sept ... Imperial Hotel, WSM, 1st Sept 07. This was a new venue for us, and as always was none too wise when it came to what to expect, stage, sockets etc... For those of you who may play here, their well stocked up to the tune of multiple sockets dotted around the ample sized stage! Plenty of room for our lads to bounce around and still remain within leaping distance of their mics for the all important backing vocals. Accoustically, the sound bounced off the opposite wall initially, but this was deadened by the ever increasing crowd. We played with the usual verve and dash cunningly disguising the fact that we'd had all of August off for summer hols etc... Highlights must've been 1. Simon leaping for the power chord in a Muse song, only to find that his guitar strap removed itself from the body of the guitar, yet he still managed to play the whole song before affixing it once more, or 2. John dropping yet another drumstick, this time to Guns N Roses. Sneakly achieving this during a break from drumming, by the time he had another stick in hand and continued with the song, nobody knew any better... or 3. Dans new super dooper mixing desk which briefly made an appearance before being lovingly returned to its bubble wrap and laid to rest for the night... but the winner has to go to Kevin... for choosing the ultimate last song when requested to return to the stage for a 2nd encore.... we have to be the first band in the UK this year... if not the World... to play a Christmas song lol | [Sun 15th Jul 07] We'd like to thank both of you... We'd like to thank both of you for coming out to the Hairy Dog in Minehead last night, it really was a joy to go to all that effort for two punters. I have to say that cheesy chips in Mineheads' premier fast food restaurant, 'fish and chips are us' in the high street, was worth the 2 broken strings and the hour and a half sat in traffic alone.
We're looking forward to the final night of our spring tour, in Bridport on Saturday night, and hope you can both make it. If you have any friends, please ask them to come along too, we've had some problems with the local fire brigade, however, working together we now have the license for the firework display, and following our successful venture with Chris Jagger last year, he's been in touch with his brother Mick, who has promised to lend us a couple of inflatables and his troop of semi-naked dancers (the end of tour show should be a cracker)! | | [Mon 14th May 07] St.George Inn Uffculme, Sat 12... St.George Inn Uffculme, Sat 12th May. Playing quietly to a table of four is never an exciting prospect, and so it was a relief that after the opening 2 numbers, the pub began to fill. The ever apologetic landlady was delighted having found out that the village Football social was on the same night, as was a local wedding. Still, by the end of the gig the pub was packed and everyone was happy. An entertaining sort, we had 'lively' ladies who enjoyed many a cocktail, (and later our very own Dan, who had eluded their charms almost all night), and who kept shouting at Kevin to get his kit off (despite calling him Phil)! We were also delighted to be filmed during the second set, although quite who the stranger with the video camera was, we dont know!! Still, it'll be nice to see it on you tube or the like.... | | [Thu 5th Apr 07] Fresh from the spectacular tha... Fresh from the spectacular that was the Curry Mallet Village Hall extravaganza (actually a seriously good relaxed gig with lots of great humour and very nice people), I previewed the photos and videos shot by the lovely other half, and while I posted a couple of pics here, decided it was about time I bit the bullet and posted some of the band vids on You Tube... linking back of course to lemonrock... so for all of you out there who like to tube, its http://www.youtube.com/fmotj

| Located at Ashill, this is where we rehearse, thanks to Chris the landlord. Its a great venue (the barn is behind the pub itself) and Chris often has top bands booked there. |
