In the centre of the pretty village of Therfield, Nr. Royston, facing out onto the green and idyllic duck haven, lies the Fox & Duck - an unassuming Victorian Inn, by its outward appearance but a revelation on entering. The perfect place for country walkers to start and finish their stroll and take in the scenic views of the neighbouring county of Cambridgeshire.
The versatility for dining is unbelievable. You can elect to eat in either of the two distinctive areas of the large traditional bar, in the separate non-smoking restaurant, in the garden or even on the village green. The menu is ever changing and contains a great selection of traditional, Oriental, and Vegetarian dishes with children's portions available on many of the items, additional to their own black board menu. The selection of products from the bar is equally impressive, from cask-conditioned ales to New World Wines plus an extraordinary choice for budding connoisseurs.
The large car park welcomes coach parties, the wooden play equipment in the safe garden is very inviting for families and the disabled access into the bar and restaurant shows a commitment to the whole community. Business clientele are being encouraged with a lunchtime pre-booking service by fax and next season, guest rooms will complete the package.
