Trapp-tastic! The Von Trapps on Fri 25th Jan 08
The Von Trapps's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. It was the first time the Von Trapps had played at the Goat, but hopefully it won't be the last!

As they didn't 'sound check', we wondered what sort of band they'd be. We needn't have worried, they were right up our street, playing some of my favourite songs. I don't think I've ever seen another pub band play 'Back of my hand' by the Jags and definitely not seen anyone do Pink's 'Trouble' with as much energy!

For a bunch of middle aged chancers (their words, not mine!) they can really put on a great gig!

Please, please come back and I'll make sure we get a crowd in!

P.S. get more tambourines for us girlies!

Boys About Town The Faith Stealers on Fri 11th Jan 08
The Faith Stealers's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Great Gig, first time we have seen them. The Faith Stealers make a lot of noise for a 3 piece.

Best cover of the night had to be the Small Faces' 'Tin Soldier'. It may have missed the keyboards but none the less shone through for the brilliant tune that it is.

A good mix of covers from all the artists you would expect - Kinks, Who, Jam and some you might not, such as a superb rendering of Billy Bragg's 'A New England'.

Overall a great night. The Faith Stealers know their stuff and know how to play.

Overall a terrible Saturday morning. It was their fault that we ended up having a great time, drinking far too much and over tipping the taxi driver. Thank goodness we didn't start on the Brandy...

Amazing Invisible Dog on Sat 1st Sep 07
Invisible Dog's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. You don't normally get this kind of performance in your average pub band. Average these guys are definitely not. The singer is powerful and energetic and just loves to entertain. He will come out and get you up if you're not already dancing. It's a cross between a party atmosphere and that of being at a full on rock concert. Good selection of modern and up to date songs with a small number of really good classics thrown in too. It's obvious that the guys are pro's and the years of experience mentioned on their website shines through in their performance.
A music fan, Tue 30th Oct 07
daytona rain rock! Daytona Rain on Fri 31st Aug 07
Daytona Rain's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Daytona Rain are fantastic! They belt out some cracking tunes and don't appear to repeat the same old set time and time again like so many other cover bands. They're always up for a laugh and it's clear they thoroughly enjoy what they do which makes for an excellent atmosphere. A really, really, good night out; I have seen them at the Goat and the Unicorn (Abbots Langley) so far and I will definitely be looking out for their next gig. I suggest you do the same - you will not be disappointed.

Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page.
