The set includes covers of blues material from the likes of Robert Johnson, Jimmy Reed, Howlin' Wolf, etc - plus rock from The Who, Stones, Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac and others.

 Great band - shame about the Venue Number 11, Hertford on Thu 8th Nov 07 | |
 Hot Maegus put in their usual punchy, energetic performance, featuring a great mix of their interpretations of old blues numbers and more standard rock items. Unfortunately the size of the audience and the venue were not worthy of their efforts. The people who were there really enjoyed the music - in spite of the management's repeated requests to turn down the volume to meaningless levels. They had heard the band's cd, and talked to band members, before booking them, so they should have had a good idea of what was in store! This is not a venue for a Blues/Rock Band. And I did hear from the band members that the manager of the venue refused to pay them their full fee because of the small number of punters. I understand that the size of the crowd was not a condition when the fee was negotiated, so this is simply not on! Other musicians beware - this venue would appear to be unreliable! | |
