Jennifer Crook[Acoustic/roots, Solo Artist]

An old gibson guitar, an unaffected singing voice, and a natural rapport set the stage for a heartfelt performance of evocative and delicately insightful songs. Enhanced by a haunting blend of concertina and cello, Jennifer brings influences from folk and alternative country to create a beautiful acoustic sound.

Jennifer originally made her mark as a top instrumentalist on the UK folk scene. She toured for many years on the international circuit (With Miranda Sykes, Henry Sears, Madigan and Cythara) earning herself a reputation as an innovative harpist, a fine singer and an engaging performer. During this time, she began to gain recognition from the folk press as a writer of compelling and well-crafted songs.

Since her decision a year ago to pursue her passion for writing songs full time, she has supported such well respected songwriters as Kris Delmhorst and Boo Hewerdine, and captivated audiences countrywide with her intimate and moving performances.

Her debut album "A Few Small Things" will be released in Spring 2008 and features world class musicians Clive Gregson , Robert Harbron, Maclaine Colston and Miranda Sykes. The album release will be accompanied by an extensive UK tour.
