Unusual Stars's pageUnusual Stars has MP3(s) on Lemonrock has review(s) on Lemonrock  Played many a great gig in this venue with Other Jam, in the past, in what was my home town back then.

Reputations seem to count for nothing these days and it has been a hard slog to get in this venue where we used to pack 'em in.

Still we are in there now and I hope we can get many more gig and try relive those great days of the early naughties.

what a great night Dave Rich Band on Thu 19th Oct 06
Dave Rich Band's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. rated as one of our top reviews It takes a lot to drag me from my lovely cosy home on a night that's blowing a gale and pouring with rain. But any resentment of wading through the elements was quickly dissolved. I had heard and read reviews but this was my first night at a live Dave Rich Band gig. The sound is really tight, and Dave has a great voice. I loved their own tracks and frustrated that I wasn't familiar with them, I have resolved to buy Overload. Having just finished a hectic tour, I detected not a murmur of road fatigue. They were sharp and having fun. I loved them.

Fantastic Marnie on Sun 8th Oct 06
Marnie's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. I have seen Marnie a few times now and they never disappoint and Sunday at the Farmer was no exception, fantastic. Marnie's singing range always amazes me, a beautiful voice and Paul's fingers a blur at times without missing a note. Chemistry on stage between them is electric and humour thrown in to, a very natural act.
I had a great night as did my friends and am looking forward to seeing them again soon.

superb day, superb night rob swann on Sun 23rd Jul 06
rob swann's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. After the depleted line up at Airfusion this year we went along to the Jolly Farmer to sample the delights of the much talked about Rob Swann.

The day had been red hot and the staff had moved the stage out on to the patio area at the rear of the pub where the tables and chairs were all full awaiting the evening's turn.

The local paper had sent its entertainment reporter, perhaps in anticipation of what was to come.

Rob started with 'Losing My Religion' which got the crowd singing setting the tone for the rest of the evening. "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" was then sang with such ease yet such feeling that the applause rang out into the first few bars of 'Lucky' from Radiohead's classic collection.

Plenty of Oasis kept the vocal chords of the audience well oiled whereas the Beatles numbers chosen, Eleanor Rigby, Fool On The Hill, and the multi requested Day In The Life were listened to in awe rather than accompanied by the very appreciative audience.
The evening was not allowed to end before four songs had been performed for encore and the singer was finally allowed to put down the guitar and finish off his glass of water.

"Thanks everyone and goodnight" were Rob's parting words which were almost drowned out by the applause.

Thanks Rob for a superb show.

memorable gig rob swann on Sun 23rd Jul 06
rob swann's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Following on from Sam's review of Rob's performance at the Jolly Farmer on Sunday evening I think that possibly everyone there felt that they were witnessing someone who has a special and natural talent.

He strolled from one song to the next with such ease that made the whole evening so relaxing yet uplifting and also exciting.

It has been said many times that Rob has a knack for making the most difficult songs very comfortable and often performs other people's work as good if not better than the original artist would do live.

Sunday was a special evening when the venue, the audience, the weather and the artist all conspired together to make a very memorable occasion for all.

Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page.
