a great band Raspberry Fish on Fri 2nd Nov 07
Had to put pen to paper - seen many bands down the Kings over the years, but I have to say these guys are just that little bit different. The mix of the stuff they do is really great and they just play it so well. Loved the Sugababes and Video Killed but also stuff by U2, Killers, Alanis, Elvis Costello - brilliant.
It's great that Sid has re-booked them for next year and that they are getting gigs over this way. I for one will be first in the queue to see them again. Excellent.

pure entertainment BarraCoodas on Fri 24th Mar 06
I have seen these guys 6 or 7 times now and they are great.
It's pure entertainment from start to finish with great music in between. From doing hilarious Elvis impressions to one of the best versions of Jimi Hendrix's Red House you will ever hear.
The on stage banter is brill and if you are thinking of heckling this band please think again, you will come off worse! Thanks guys, great night.

...putting pun back in punk The Reoffenders on Fri 10th Feb 06
Cillit - Bang, Hoover, Indesit, Le Creuset and Morphy-Richards, putting pun back in punk.
Blondie meets Green Day meets Spinal Tap! From Johnny's amazing rendition of Chris T - T's Dreaming Of Injured Popstars, to Jimmy Eat World, and back to the Ramones. These guys put their own spin on punk past and present, and a little more in between!
Looking forward to seeing you guys in Paignton on 4 March

Brill night K2 on Fri 27th Jan 06
Here I saw a band that really Rocks! Music from all eras and so tight together. My toes just wouldn't stop tapping! Great singer, the guitarist was brilliant and the drummer, well I play a little but wish I could play like that.
Although some of the music's not usually my cup of tea it was great to hear and watch, and any band that can range from Pink Floyd to AC/DC and then change instruments (yes the singer then played bass, the bass player drums, the drummer sang and I beleive the guitarist and keyboardist changed as well) to play Jump around (A rap song? unusual but boy does that work!) proves how good you guys are.
Keep it up guys, I'll definitely be back to the Kings to watch you again! (Maybe please just a couple more modern songs in your next set for us youngsters)

Reply from K2: Really glad you enjoyed the night, we did too. Very positive feedback all night and we're glad you've taken the time to write this review. We are at the moment looking at material to work on, so we will take on board your point about some modern songs. Cheers K2

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
