Now in their 20th year, LIGHT ALLOY have earned the title of The Home Counties Premier Rock Covers Band for very good reason, they continue to bring their own blend of pop and rock covers to live music audiences in Herts, Beds. and Essex.
Their ever expanding musical repertoire includes classic songs covering four decades from artists as diverse as The Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield, The Who, Primal Scream, Bryan Adams, ZZ Top, Pink Floyd and The Killers.
Light Alloy have crafted the music to provide more than two hours of great entertainment, described by one venue as "the best band we've had by a country mile"
Chris 'The Doc' Gledhill, Vocals and guitar - once the darling of the northern clubs, like a good wine, continues to mature - is there a better front man?
Rob Ford - Keyboards, vocals and Musical Director, still the least senior member of the band. Superb musician with a musical apprenticeship at the London Academy of Music. Rob cut his musical teeth playing the London Circuit.
Chris Stewart, Drums, former stix-man with Karl Wallinger's World Party. Made four cock-ups in the last twenty years, (we've counted!)
Ian Adamson - Bass and vocals - appeared on TV with Ollie Beak in 1972, toured with bands such as Wishbone Ash. Still laying down a solid bass after four decades and collecting 'interesting' guitars.
Mick 'Fingers' Irving, Lead guitar - Featured on the last Flock of Seagull album, played sessions for various bands. Mick loves Zematis and Blade guitars.

Rocked! The Plume of Feathers, Little Wymondley on Sat 8th Mar 08
Standing room only at this gig - usually a sleepy little village, the Plume was rocking all night long. Never seen the pub so packed, and all to hear this brilliant band. Full and varied set, from Greenday, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Prince to Blink 182 and many more, all magnificently performed. Mike was happy to play drums, and I quote, says 'these guys are just brilliant'. Well done to the lead singer's daughter for Radio Ga Ga!
Do not miss the opportunity to see this band - they are brilliant, and I would challenge anyone to say they didn't have a great time!

Reply from Light Alloy: Glad you enjoyed yourselves guys, we certainly had a blast. Couple of points, we don't do any Beatles! and it was the drummer's daughter Lucy who stood in on drums on We Wll Rock You while her day 'had a rest' but apart from that, thanks for your kind words and see you at The Sailor?
Great Night Out! The Plough & Harrow, Harpenden on Sat 24th Nov 07
What a great gig! The venue was packed, with groups of all ages. The set got better and better as they built up to favourites such as Van Halen, ZZ Top, Bryan Adams mixed with new material such as Kaizer Chiefs, Greenday, and Maroon 5. Also you have to check out Pink Floyd's - Comfortably Numb which is simply awesome! This band really know how to play, with a great sound. They really know how to get the crowd up and dancing, especially with their added props! Looking forward to seeing them at a bigger venue.

Great act Duncombe Arms, Hertford on Sat 21st Apr 07
Have heard of this band but never seen them til last Saturday. Venue - completely wasted as this band should have centre floor.
Great act, very professional, and the songs kept rolling out. Loved the accessories, wigs and all - would recommend them to anyone who wants a real good night out.
Comfortably numb to Delilah, to Maroon 5, Kaiser Chiefs, and finishing with Blink 182 - really know how to get you dancing. Also good to see varied age groups enjoying themselves. The Duncombe Arms in Hertford was not a great venue, as everyone wanted to be dancing - and very limited space - suggest the Plume of Feathers as a good venue for this!
Come on Boys, venture further up North - we would love to see you there.
