Great band! BarraCoodas on Fri 27th Jul 07
From Muddy Waters to Muse via The Beatles & The Beastie boys, they were great as always, even with a stand-in drummer. The musical variety is amazing and they play much better than they say they can!
The place was a bit quiet because of the carnival but those of us who were there had a really good time, and a chat with the band to boot!
Well worth going to see.

More, more, more! Livin in a valvestate on Sat 10th Feb 07
This band completely rocked out The Lime Tree during last night's gig. Everyone was getting up and dancing to the well delivered music and when the band finished everyone chanted for more because it sounded so good.
The great thing about Livin In A Vavlestate is that their music is varied and not all the same style, which is all the more reason for the crowd to enjoy them.
This band is a 'must see' live and I will definitely be there to cheer them on.

Blown away Livin in a valvestate on Sat 10th Feb 07
Two things hit me as soon as I got in the door, the first was the volume of people, the second was the sound coming from the band playing. The band in question was Livin in a valvestate. I first saw these guys when they supported Live Wire at the Half Moon, and a few times since, and boy have they evolved into something or what. The lead guitarist and lead vocalist who I'm sure must be new or newish, were simply in another class for live music in this area, and the overall gig had to rate very high as the best live performance I've personally seen in the last twenty years.
The thing that impressed me the most was their choice of songs, with these guys you get a range of songs that make think "yeah I remember this one... this was awesome" but you've never heard anyone else try to do it and these guys do it, and do it good.

Reply from Livin in a valvestate: Thank you, we do try and do some thing a little different to the normal covers. Glad you enjoyed it, we also have several new originals that have been included in the set. come over and say hi when you see us next.
breathtaking evening rob swann on Sat 22nd Apr 06
Rob played mostly his own stuff tonight which was delivered with such professionalism and accuracy that the audience were enthusiastically applauding at each interval.
Someone commented after Al Green's 'I'm So In Love With You ' "how can somebody so young deliver such a song like that with feeling and a voice as if he's been doing it for years".
Also I've seen Muse do that song live in Plymouth but Rob does it better.
Rob tuned down once again to finish the evening with the haunting 'One For Each Side' one of Rob's own treasures which roused the audience to demand two more encores. Oasis' 'The Importance Of Being Idle' rounded off a very impressive performance and set up nicely the tone for S-O-B to follow with their own brand of rock. The blend of a great rock band and Rob worked very well and both acts have agreed to work together again.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
