Commitment, Energy & Sheer Talent! on Sun 24th May 09
Hi Marnie & Katie.

We just wanted to write to thank you both for such a warm, gutsy & professional performance on both evenings of our Camp site party weekend. We really appreciated the commitment, energy & sheer talent you showed for, & during, the whole event. Both we, & the people who came, could not stop talking about how good you both are & we would like to thank you so much for the very important part that you played in making this such a successful event: our best ever!

We consider ourselves very lucky and privileged to have had you performing here and you will remain at the top of our list for future events. We also hope that the huge range of very impressed people in the audience will lead to more gigs for you both.
Thank you so much again!

Reply from Marnie: Ahh thank you for such kind, lovely words. We are touched! :)
Thank you Marnie Exeter Memorial Museum, Exeter on Fri 30th Nov 07
''Marnie'' first played at Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter in July 2007 and impressed us so much that we asked them back to play for 500 guests at the museum's closing party in December. Marnie played in the 'Tempex' Gallery, which was packed throughout the whole evening. Highlights for me included an Alanis Morissette cover which was amazing and Guns and Roses' Sweet child of mine. Marnie's vocals were as enchanting as ever and Paul on the guitar was spectacular.
'Marnie' made the night really special and we will definitely book her for our re-opening!

amazing! The Anchor, Cockwood on Thu 22nd Nov 07
Marnie played at The Anchor for their special opening night of their new ship like room. They were amazing. Marnie is just enchanting. She comes across really confident, relaxed and is totally charming.

There is a lot of on stage chemistry between Marnie and Paul. They were terrific together, playing to each other as well as to the audience. I really loved their songs 'lost and found' and 'signs of life'. They have a great song writing ability. I hope they go far!

I requested Wuthering Heights as an encore and they shook the place with an amazing version of a very difficult song.
Paul's guitar work sounded varied, full and very rhythmic.
As for Marnie's voice, it was as always like an angel. She has that easy improvisation, a quality that Jazz singers have and a huge vocal range which astounds me.

They got huge applause and everyone had a great night!

Fabulous night at the Cathedral Exeter Cathedral, Exeter on Fri 16th Nov 07
Exeter Cathedral's pagerated as one of our top reviews  A truly magnificent performance all in aid of Children In Need. Marnie opened with a selection of covers and their originals. The amplified acoustic guitar sounded rich and mellow and Marnie's voice exploited the superb sound system to the full. Her vocal range was impressive, particularly in 'Wuthering Heights' (Kate Bush) and 'Lost And Found' (Marnie & Paul).

They often perform in busy pubs where their quality is lost in the noise. How nice to see and hear them in a concert setting where their quality sound shone through.
