This is a blues band with a difference! Their unusual look coupled with their authentic blues sound has proven to be a real hit with live music fans for almost three years. Already well respected on the Bristol blues scene, they are now on a mission to make the Chicago/New Orleans blues style of the '50's and 60's popular with new, younger audiences throughout the UK . Their performances of songs by legends such as Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Elmore James, Paul Butterfield, Otis Spann and Ray Charles will excite and delight the blues nerd and novice alike!
There can't be many female Japanese Boogie-Woogie pianists in the world and people get a big shock when they see Yuki sat at the piano producing such a big sound. She has also played with Eddie Martin as a guest piano player, has appeared at Glastonbury Festival, WOMAD, and The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival (Colne). Strongly influenced by legendary New Orleans piano players such as James Booker, Dr John and Professor Longhair, Yuki is one of the few pianists in the UK with a true New Orleans sound.
