| Lemonrock Messaging System - How It Works | |
| Use the Lemonrock Messaging System to leave a message for a band or artist about their gigs, CDs and MP3s, or to send comments, ideas, questions or compliments. To write a detailed gig review instead, please find the gig on the reviews page », or follow the link from the band/artist's 'reviews' section on their page. | |
Setting up to receive messages
As a band or artist, you must first set up the Messaging System by logging in. In your edit page, select the band or artist from 'my bands/artists' and set 'Receive messages?' to 'Yes'. You're all set!
Sending a message
Anyone can send a message. Go to the band or artist's page on Lemonrock and click on the 'Send a compliment' link, if it is enabled. Compose your message, check it for spelling, and send it. If you've got something interesting to say, the band or artist may show the message on their page, and may add a reply.
Receiving messages
When someone sends you a message, you'll be sent a notification e-mail from us. You can see your new message by logging in and going to your 'my messages' section.
You have four options with a new message:
- add it to your page (make public)
- keep it private
- delete it
- delete it and report it as spam (with your help, we will keep spam to a minimum for everyone)
You can add a reply to any message you receive, which is shown along with the sender's message.
NOTE: All 'new' messages are deleted after 90 days unless you make them public or private.
You can delete messages at any time, and change any existing message to private or public.
Browsing messages
Messages are shown in the 'Messages' section of a band/artist page. If the page is being viewed as a mini-site, messages are shown in the 'blog/messages' sub-section. | |
