Lemonrock encourages unsigned artists and bands to play live at all kinds of venues: local pubs, local music venues, arts theatres, and larger, well known venues. We are here to help the singer/songwriter who finds it hard to get recognised... the band with 'killer' songs, lyrics and melodies... the venue that goes that extra mile to put on interesting, non-mainstream, yet accessible new talent... we believe in the massively positive effects that live music can have on everyone's life.
We have the most accurate and informative listings, the biggest choice of gigs anywhere on the Web, and, with an advanced database system and solid software design, we intend to provide the best up-to-date gig information on mobile phones as well as on the Web - information updated directly by musicians and promoters themselves.
We are committed to providing a free site for the general public, and to keeping membership fees to a minimum so that all members - bands, solo artists, and promoters - receive excellent value for money. We want to keep the site interesting and new and well presented; to this end Lemonrock is reviewed and updated continuously by its Editors, using a state-of-the-art content management system (CMS) designed specifically for our site.
