Lights Out for John Perrin An unsung hero of the music industry, John Perrin of Palmers Green in London, died on Friday 28th March 2008 in St Michael's Hospital, Enfield, at age 62, of pancreatic cancer.
A master of sound and light engineering arts, John provided technical services to some of the biggest bands in the business including Hawkwind, Peter Gabriel, Motorhead and many more as part of the crew of Liquid Len & the Lensmen and as house engineer/technician for the renowned Camden Palace/Music Machine (now known as KoKo) in Camden.
His touring days ended after a heart attack which slowed him down but couldn't keep him away from the live music and other activities that he loved like radio, tape recording or computing and for the past 9 years he was an active committee member and sound / lighting engineer for the Electric Blues Club including the annual Sunday Sessions at Broomfield Park held in August.
