Fantastic six Scandal on Fri 1st Feb 08
I can't think of a better way to start my weekend off - this band is fantastic! I love every song they play from "Billy Jean" to "Valerie" - truly a great night had by all.
We have been fans of this band for a long time, and I can honestly say they always entertain you whilst enjoying it themselves, and this shows in their music.
They are all very talented people who enjoy what they do, and always have a good time.We have booked them to play at our wedding this summer.

Oh... What a night! Scandal on Fri 7th Dec 07
Absolutely fantastic, great band, brilliant music which brought back loads of fond memories with various songs ranging from 60's to the present day!
Loved the versions of Love Shack to Mr Blue Sky.... Scissor Sisters' "Take your mama out" and of course not forgetting dear Michael's... "Billy Jean"!
A fantastic night - I met a lot of real nice people very friendly and welcoming crowd... the atmosphere was electric... so much so that I now follow this band as often as possible.
So if you feel like a real good night out take a leaf out of my book and enjoy! Keep up to date with the dates on Lemonrock and come along and let your hair down!

another great night! Scandal on Fri 17th Aug 07
I cant explain what makes one band really enjoyable, and another band not so. I can only think its down to those bands who really enjoy what they do, and play with a smile on their faces as opposed to those that merely go through the motions.
Scandal are one of those bands that really enjoy what they do and it comes across by the bucket load with Friday's gig proving no exception. Jimmy and the gang blasted their way through the set, which is a rare mixture of soul, funk, 60`s, rock 'n' roll and just about everything in between. The crowd lapped it up as always.
There were a few new songs in the set tonight, which is always good as it keeps things fresh. The band also features a fairly new girl singer, who just gets better and better with each gig! So, just when you think Scandal can't get any better, they prove you wrong!
Do yourselves a favour, if you have not seen them before get along to The Horns, Watford, on Sat 1st Sept. You wont be disappointed.

Earplugs please Caddy-Lee on Fri 3rd Aug 07
Went to see the above mentioned act, but didn't realise he was only a drummer in a band. The band 'Players' were very very tight, with great guitarist and bass/vocalist, playing some good proper rock music. The only complaint is that the drummer played far too loud and tried a bit too much, drowning out the other two musicians.
Subsequently went to see 'Players' at an open air gig the following day, where a different drummer played with them and the balance was exact. Maybe Caddy should learn how to play soft when the song requires it, and not constantly try and outdo everyone else. This was the feeling of others at the gig.
The two and a half hour set was thoroughly good in the selection of songs, especially the Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Thin Lizzy ones, where the virtuosity of the guitarists showed through. Some blistering guitar work and inventive bass playing more than made up for the volume of the drumming. If this band-artist is a soloist with only backing musicians which change every gig, then I doubt whether audiences will tolerate the drumming for long. If Caddy is 'Players' drummer, then maybe it should be more obvious, which would possibly mean that more people would turn up to see a band, rather than a soloist drummer, as it seems to be.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
