Great Night! Lost Boys on Sat 5th Jan 08
WHAT A NIGHT!
I was told to go down to the Old Bell by a friend, he said that we were going to have a fantastic time as he had seen the Lostboys before - he was right!
We had such a fun time singing along to the band and it was nice to hear a lot of my old favourites, such as Cheap trick, Skunk Anansie and Billy Idol. You never normally hear them played live and it made a nice change. Really good choice of songs and all performed superbly.
It was great fun and I would recommend to anyone reading this that if you want a night out to let your hair down and have a good time... then make sure you go along and see them. You will not be disappointed!

Best of British The Brits on Sat 11th Nov 06
First time I've seen them, and to be honest I'm not usually a fan of duos, but these guys really go for it! Playing two sets of high energy Mod/Punk/New Wave/Britpop they never let things slip, with great versions of Kinks, Jam, Clash, Small Faces etc. The second set especially got the audience going, and they definitely deserved the encore, ending with the whole pub singing along with "Don't Look Back in Anger". Top night - Cheers!

Beat Surrender Wellah on Fri 22nd Sep 06
As fans of Paul Weller we had to go. By about 9 o'clock the pub was rammed, much more than I've seen it before, the band went on at 9.30 and played without a break untill gone 11 - it was amazing, high energy, no prisoners, real live music. The band had a great sound and seemed really tight, and the vocalist was excellent. They did loads of the hits and a few lesser known songs by The Jam & Weller, but my favourite was an amazing version of Walls Come Tumbling Down, an old Style Council number. Well that and Saturdays Kids, Butterfly Collecter, Eton Rifles, Changingman, Mr Clean, Bullrush, Sunflower, Come On Let's Go, Tube Station, etc, etc! They ended with Funeral Pyre, leaving the drummer on stage, when we got them back on they did 4 or 5 encores including Heatwave and So Sad About Us - fantastic stuff!
Brilliant band, brilliant night, much, much better than any other pub gig I've seen. Oh, and my ears were ringing next day - always a good sign.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
