Larry is promoting his latest self penned and produced album, this is just one of over 700 gigs so far on his never ending quest to inspire a magnitude of Blues/Rock lovers worldwide, selling out most venues whilst doing so. During the 80's his debut album made No 2 in the Melody Maker charts, he regularly sold out Londons legendary Marquee Club and played a storming set at Reading Festival impressing a certain guitarist by the name of Jeff Beck in the process. He featured in a 'Top 10 Strat Players' compilation by Blues Matters magazine alongside Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Roy Buchanan, David Gilmour and the aforesaid Jeff Beck. He storms into his shows with passion, spirit and pure guitar genius and with the new album release is sure to go to the top of the blues/rock tree once again. | | Stipe A consistantly popular and professional act Stipes audiences grow with every appearance here, and rightly so - a fantastic night of classic REM. One of the biggest bands to emerge from the 70's, REM, with their charismatic singer Michael Stipe ( complete with blue stripe across his face!) proceeded to tear the singles and album charts up with those famous hit melodies and establish themselves as world class musicians. Well, this is Stipe and REM is what they do -very well! They are the UKs foremost REM tributes playing 2 hours of all the classics. You'll find yourself singing along to songs you didn't realise you knew - 'Man on the Moon', Losing my Religion', 'Everybody Hurts' and many, many more. A superb stage show not to be missed by any serious REM fan.
Some reviews from Stipes gig at The Limelight, Crewe.... 'By the time the band started there must have been at least 400 people there' 'A packed venue with high expectations to hear the music of the world's greatest band - R.E.M., take it from me they were not disappointed.' 'Stipe's outstanding performance of R.E.M. music is second to none, not to be missed, 'if you love R.E.M. then Stipe is never going to let you forget it'. 8.30pm - 11.15pm adv £10.00 |

Led Zep Too Rock, Yeovil Sleeps Led Zep Too on Sun 13th Apr 08
Guys. Really enjoyed The Led Zep Too gig at Yeovil's Quicksilver Mail pub on Sunday evening. It was too bad that so few turned up to see you. they missed out. Thanks for sharing the Rocket Fuel Russian Vodka after the gig. May have been a mistake to turn down the offer of Ruth's toasted sarnies though, in favour of getting on the road, I'd have gone for it myself. Next time I'll definitely bring along my friend Jimmy Page's biggest fan, says she can't wait, hey, maybe I'll bring along both my friends!
Well, The music blasted off at hi octane level with How Many More Times. And I thought this is great! I remember why I loved Zep for the last 30 years.
Well, all of it was good. Great authentic sounding guitaring (nice equipment Mike) with Vintage Les Pauls, Double Necked Gibson for Stairway and Danelectro for Kashmir. And I felt the solo-ing was adventurous, no dodging the tricky JP stuff. Though I'm not a drummer I was impressed with Moby Dick, Yes, Olli, you do sound like Robert Plant. And enjoyed the Bass + keyboards from JPJ impersonator.
Liked you doing the live song versions. Dazed & Confused was great, including the bowing.
Was worth being a bit wiped out at work the next day.
So hope you'll come back to Yeovil and there'll be a bigger crowd next time.

Reply from Led Zep Too: Yes the audience turn out was a bitter disappointment.
Mike took it out on the rocket fuel vodka and the vodka took it out on Mike's playing, just a little bit.
He can play even better than that!
So if we do come back, and there is a proper audience, then you will be in for something special.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
