Perfect The Old Manor Inn, Paignton on Fri 22nd Feb 08
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. There were a couple of surprises in the set including a Raspberry Version of Seminal 80's Classic "Enola Gay" by OMD; absolute class, no question. The gig started with the rousing romp of "Teenage Kicks", then blasted into U2's "Vertigo" and then a load more besides including covers of the excellent "Crazy Horses", "Another Brick in The Wall Pt 2", "Venus" with a Metallica "Enter the Sandman" Twist (my personal favourite) then followed by "Creep" and "Basket Case" and more besides.

These guys love what they do and it shows, because the audience see this and it has a knock on effect, everybody has a good time at a RF gig. Craigo had a great voice and superb playing style - a superb front man. Max on backing/lead Vocals had a great, smooth, adaptable voice that fits very well in the Raspberry Fish Genre. Webby is one of the best bassists I have seen in a long time, impeccable timing.

Keyboard player Doddy is integrated well into the band and plays with confidence and excitement. Roddy on drums is a marvel to watch; his arms are everywhere and in perfect time, not a click track in site - awesome.

This band is the perfect end to the working week.

Reply from Raspberry Fish: Thanks again for the kind remarks - make sure you tell all your mates to "catch" the band (see what I did there!!) - and check out the new website - www.raspberryfish.co.uk. Oh btw its RoBBie on drums. Thanks again. RaSPBeRRY FiSH
Plenty of spine The Old Manor Inn, Paignton on Fri 14th Dec 07
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. The sound check was a somewhat ambient-ish version of "Another brick in the wall part 2" by Pink Floyd, which sparked my interest. The music was an interesting and very potent mix of 80's and 90's with a general dash of Ska and a twist of Metallica which was pure genius. The band, although in its infancy, seem to be really well rehearsed and gelled together as a musical tour de force supremely. They work hard at their craft, and are a great bunch of people, very friendly.

Reply from Raspberry Fish: thanks for your input Rob - much appreciated
a great band The Kings Arms, Kingsteignton on Fri 2nd Nov 07
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Had to put pen to paper - seen many bands down the Kings over the years, but I have to say these guys are just that little bit different. The mix of the stuff they do is really great and they just play it so well. Loved the Sugababes and Video Killed but also stuff by U2, Killers, Alanis, Elvis Costello - brilliant.

It's great that Sid has re-booked them for next year and that they are getting gigs over this way. I for one will be first in the queue to see them again. Excellent.
A music fan, Fri 30th Nov 07

Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page.

[Mon 25th Feb 08] (From a music fan : gig at The Old Manor Inn, Paignton on 22 February 2008) : I'd heard rumblings about this band through the grapevine and thought it worth checking them out. I have to say they really are excellent. A great mix of popular tunes, (Venus, Pump it Up, Video Killed, Le Freak etc) that just make you want to get up and boogie. Brill. - a music fan
