 80's Band Takes Me Back! Ellie Dee on Sat 12th Apr 08 | |
  Had a fab night at The Red Lion in Biggleswade being thoroughly entertained by Ellie Dee! The band seemed to really enjoy themselves which came across in their performance, as well as their sense of humour!
Not your typically cheesy 80's cover band, Ellie Dee covered some great artists like The Jam, Blondie, Gary Numan, David Bowie, XTC and loads more. My mate and I sang along to quite a few of the tracks and had there been a bit more room (and if I hadn't been driving and on the Diet Coke!) we would have joined some of the other groovers on the dance floor! Particulary enjoyed Start and That's Entertainment by The Jam, Madonnas Material Girl and Beautiful Souths A Little Time
The only down side is that I am now trawling my wardrobe for a Ra Ra skirt and dashing to Boots for pink eyeshadow and blue mascara!!!
Had I known about this band last year I would have seriously considered booking them for my Husbands 40th. Instead we shall wait for another local gig to come around so I can take him along, he will love it! | |

  How can I explain to a music fan about t.d.u.? Rocking isn't a word to be used lightly about such a brilliant band. From the very start they had the Red Lion crown jumping and hollering for songs that got them dancing - that's just the first set. The second was even more intense and fiery. Talk about earning your money - t.d.u. certainly did. | |
