Retrolux[The Who, Led Zeppelin and Cream Classic 70's Rock, 3 piece]
|
Retrolux is a classic rock trio based in Peterborough. The band specialise in playing rock covers that other bands rarely play. Led Zep covers include 'Achilles Last Stand' and 'The Ocean', Who covers like 'The Seeker' and Alex Harvey's 'Faith Healer' are regularly included. As well as playing Led Zep, Who and Cream there's also a good measure of Foo Fighters, Chilli Peppers and Killers in every set.
Ian Graham (guitar, vocals) and Dave Colton (bass Vocals) met in the early 70's and after a long professional association through the late 70's and early 80's (including recording for Virgin and touring extensively) they remained friends and after a chance meeting with Drummer 'Fozzy' Dixon Retrolux was formed in 2004. Chris Goodwin supplements the line up by playing harp and vocals on tracks like 'Long Train Running' (Doobie Brothers) and Zep's 'When The Levee Breaks'. Check out www.YouTube.com/retrolux for video footage of their headline set at the 2006 Peterborough Beer Festival.
Whilst primarily based in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, the band are happy to consider playing in the far reaches of the country so if you organise enough gigs the same area to make a weekend of it contact us!.
