 The Richmond Arms is a very popular pub situated, just five minutes by car from the centre of Bournemouth, with a convenient taxi rank and bus stop outside. Strictly for the over 18's, we have a good base of local regulars, passers by and many international students. The atmosphere is more like that of a town pub, chilled out during the week and more vibrant at weekends. Everyone is given a warm welcome from the staff and locals alike. Inside there are two very different bars. The public bar is where you can watch Sport, play some pool on one of the two tables, enjoy live gigs or just mingle with the locals. The students tend to hang out more in the lounge bar which is slightly more chilled and leads to the beer garden. Sports such as cricket, golf and tennis are shown throughout the day at the customers request. We serve food from a varied main menu and our food offers are very popular. During the summer months it is good to enjoy your food al fresco in the large garden where there are twenty five tables with umbrellas to shade you from the sun. Come and visit this active pub soon and meet the sociable crowd.

 Awesome funky munks - red hot chili peppers tribute on Tue 31st Oct 06 | |
  These guys are masters of their craft... very impressive!
I've seen a lot of tribute bands claiming to sound like the 'real thing' but the 'Funky Munks' delivered.
They didn't just sound great either... the audience interaction was top class... there were cds flying overhead for anyone making a special effort with their dancing skills!
All in all a great night and a fantastic kick-off to bringing live music back to the Richmond!

Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
