 Pure refined positive aggression Drivechain on Fri 6th Jan 06 | |
  Despite a small amount of people in the Rockers, Omission stepped up to the plate admirably. Unperterbed by the tiny crowd, their well-crafted blend of powerful melodic post-thrash thawed the stiff atmosphere of despondancy well, drawing hoots and whistles from even the most reserved of the assembled throng.
Drivechain erupted onto the stage playing a densely packed set which was a tight display of punchy aggressive hard rock. The clear vocals are refreshing to hear in this era of "screamo" and "metalcore". The lead singer had a great voice, strong and defiantly emotional without being lame which I thought made a change. They were a high energy band and seemed to give it everything which brought the crowd to the front of the stage. They were tight and heavy but seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing, sweating buckets and grinning all over their faces throughout.
Great sounds helped me have a great night. I'd go to another gig by either one of these bands. | |

| Omission played some mighty thrash riffage and had one belter of a singer! Drivechain although more melodic, played an absolute blinder on this occasion, big, melodic rock with huge energy that got everyone in the place nodding their heads. | |
