Rock Salmon formed 8 years ago to play classic rock tunes around Devon. Playing covers ranging from Stones to Iron Maiden, in stage attire of icons of rock, such as Hendrix, AC/DC, Sabbath, Kiss, Darkness or whatever we feel like! We always create a visual stage show as well as musical experience that our fans really love.
If you're looking for a quality classic rock covers band for a birthday bash or your venue, then ROCK SALMON are just the thing you need!

 The Oke boys did a fantastic job at my 40th, they looked and sounded great. The crowd couldn't get enough especially the Halwill girls.We had a brilliant party and the band really topped it, I can fully recommend Rock Salmon to anyone of any age who is looking for an entertaining evening and one that would be talked about for a long time afterwards.

 [Wed 7th May 08]  salmon at the copper key we were looking forward to this gig as they allways have a great crowd of people turn up and support the bands that play, however!! tonite was the local football dinner and dance nite and most of north tawton had gone there!! so numbers were low to start with but by the second set the rugby crowd appeared with their friends and it turned out to be a better evening than anyone,including the barman expected.a great evening, and for us a very short journey home for a change!! |  [Sat 19th Apr 08] the salmon rock paignton!! why... the salmon rock paignton!! why is it that your gear decides to fail after youve done your sound check, on the very first crucial opening tune?we managed to stumble through "inside"by stiltskin and the rest of the first set without nigels vocal system, but he had to use my mic so no backing vocals, which maybe was a good thing!!! any how we fixed the problem in the break and the second set went down a treat with the coachouse crowd, plenty of headbanging and drinking!! yet another good gig with lots of good feedback and the landlord wants us again...result!! |  [Sun 13th Apr 08] salmon rock the boat!! rock salmon at the yacht torquay.
wow!! we got a stage to play on and a huge projection screen that shows us in the bar as well!! a bit like donnington!! although, for the first set most people sat in the bar watching the screen and not coming up to the stage area!!?? however the second set everyone came up and joined in and were having a good time!! must say a big hi to the ladies on the hen night and the guys on their curry night, glad you enjoyed it!!
embarassing moment of the nite.... me sitting down to play slide on Freebird and splitting my trousers from front to back!!! dunno about a freebird, was almost a free willly!!!! |  [Mon 7th Apr 08] Great to be back in the kings ... Great to be back in the kings and playing in the downstairs bar. All gigs used to be upstairs but new housing went up and put a stop to the "noise" from the hayloft bar!! Playing downstairs has a much better atmosphere, the bar was packed and everyone was up shouting along to the usual classics like highway to hell and alright now. We tried out 2 new tunes, back in black and freebird, both went down really well, every one singing along again!! Unfortunatley nick broke his top e string at the very start of the blistering solo on freebird and that was the end of that as we had run out of time to do it again, Nick was gutted after all the practise he put in!! Hope to have some new pics and vids from this gig soon.. | |
