The Rod & Line, Tideford[Pub]

Just 100yards from the main A38 into Cornwall in the village of Tideford, 6 miles from the Tamar Bridge, you'll find the Rod & Line.
The pub is renowned throughout the area for the condition of its beers and the quality of the food -particularly its crab dishes, king prawns, scallops and fillet steaks... and for its warm welcome to locals & visitors alike.
In summer you can drink and dine outside under the large Mediterranean parasols.
In winter there is always a huge log fire. And at Christmas the pub becomes the local Santa's Grotto.
If you like a theme pub where everything matches and has been designed by some corporate team, then forget the Rod. This is a proper Cornish pub with the ambience of yesteryear but most definitely in the 21st century.
AND, a year ahead of government proposals, the Rod became a NON-SMOKING pub in August 2006. However, there is a customer-friendly covered area right outside the door for those (including the landlord & landlady!) who still do.
Across the road from the pub there is a large children's play area and a large public car park. This pub is legendary! All kinds of acts have played here; John Martyn, Chris Jagger, Sundown Sinners etc. to the better of the vast amount of local talent that exists in this part of the country. Guaranteed good night out.
Good outside smoking area. Real Ales - Abbot, Tribute. Draught Lagers - Stella, 1664, Fosters, plus draught Cider & Guinness.
OPEN ALL DAY
Forthcoming acts (2 of 2 total): Fri 23rd May: Delta Dukes... Fri 11th Jul: Delta Dukes |

Definitely a Tonic 2Tonic on Fri 18th Apr 08
A fun and friendly atmosphere was generated by this duo. The entire audience appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the experience. Obviously the most unusual element was the tuneful twanging of the Jews harp. However the great guitar playing, delightful singing, snatches of mouth organ and cracking percussion all played their part in bringing some great songs to life. My current favourites songs from their list are "Rising Sun" by Medicine Head and "Walking after midnight". Well worth the travelling to see them.

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
