Phil, Gadge & Andy are the hosts for the Jam & they do a great job of organising everything, playing & providing a backline if one is needed, full in house PA including Peavey Hisys 2's, Studiomaster desk, DI boxes, SM58 mics, full range of amps, foldback & stuff to plug in to & some instrumnets are here too, just ask. The plan is to continue to invest in these nights, not just sit back & hope they look after themselves.
We love music here & this jam is fast becoming one of the most popular in the City.
Everyone welcome, even under 18s if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Fun starts at 9 but if you're here early then you can book a proper slot.

  Phil, the host was a great guitarist, the tall guy on bass was great, as was the other one on drums. Are these guys a band? Phil has asked me to bring along my guitar next week so that's it, now I'll be a regular!
Great night with lots of various acts getting up and doing a turn. There was even some woman doing a riverdance, tap shoes on and everything, now it's not every day you see that in a local pub. The atmosphere was friendly, the band seemed very helpful to everyone who got up on stage, helping them get set and everything. One band - I think they were called the old porch boys - did some wonderful traditional music that comes from the Appalation mountains: piano accordian, acoustic guitar, fiddle and this tap dancing lady, unusual and quite entertaining. Big Norm from Kiss This was there, you just can't match this guy with solo work, makes it look so easy too! Some young guys from the academy did some quality stuff by Thin Lizzy. All in all a thouroughly entertaining night, I'll be there next week and may even get up myself. | |

| Listen everyone... This is by far the best jam night I've seen for a long time. The jam band are excellent and it's all very well organised with good equipment to use. The band leader, Phil (you may know him best as the lead guitarist from Cover'd) does an amazing job keeping things going and Drummer (gadge) and Bassist (Andi) are awesome. It seems they can cope with almost anything thrown at them... if you want to sing a song then they'll know it. If you want to play a song on guitar they'll play it - very tight indeed! Paul the landlord is so helpful as well, he has even organised prizes for the night! It's all very friendly and the atmosphere is cracking... Go and support this up and coming night - it'll be well worth it! | |

This Jam is fantastic ! Raw talent being unearthed each and every week, the in house PA is second to none as are the jam Band, Phil Smyth leads with Andi Evans on Bass & Gadge Evans on Drums. Loads of stuff to mess about with - guitar amps, bass amps, DI Boxes, full studiomaster mixer amp, full set of drums, Foldback, Peavey hy-sis twos, sm 58 mic .... One of the best equipped jams in the area... There's even a soundman!
Come on down muso's , it's a great night and there's a late bar too !
