 The man gets better every time I see him - the evening simply flew by as song after song took my imagination into areas I'd have never gone by myself. With more than twelve CDs behind him this man is "prolific and gifted" - profound one moment - amazingly funny the next - the man for the moment - and with that many CDs - for a lifetime of listening! | |

It's hard to review an old friend like Ray... but I was surprised at how fresh his songs still sounded - how confident his delivery and how comfortable the evening.
I knew Ray over twenty years ago and liked his material then - a good blend of intelligent words and interesting melodies... and they still have the same qualities. If you're looking for a new artist - give Ray a chance - I really don't think, in the normal "Folk Club" atmosphere that you'd be disapointed. | |

Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
