Swell is a glossy package of completely original pop and rock tracks, put together by a top selection of St Albans bands. There's a diverse and endlessly creative music scene in this great City, and Swell captures one particular summer of a seemingly endless wave of new bands and songs. The cover gives a clue to the content; a rich kaleidoscope of pop tunes, rock riffs and dance classics from quality bands. Some artists on the CD have since made it big - notably Coco (Sue Brice) and Sherena Dugani; many are still gigging in London and locally, and others have slipped into something more ambitious and diverse. This is a collector's item, wonderfully recorded and digitally mastered... an inspiring and groundbreaking theme marking one of the country's richest musical landmarks.
