Hitchin based Rock Blues band performing classic (yet original) music spanning the 60's and 70's. Influences include Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Rory Gallagher to Eric Clapton.
Ten Days Unshaven are quite simply a unique band who will amaze you with their energy and stage presence.

 Amazing Three Horseshoes, Letchworth on Sat 24th May 08 | |
 What any band wishes ,to play at a beer festival , t. d. u . were just amazing , playing their usual brand of blues and rock , with songs by the stones , beatles , and some out of this world hendrix , completing a nite of outsanding crowd pleasing songs , plus plenty of ale was consumed , so another successful gig by hitchins favourate band , till the next one ,. | |

| So t. d. u were asked back to the old oak , why ? Cos what a bluesy rock sound they play , even with the pub was abit quiet at first the crowd just enamoured to them play such blistering hendrix , stones , and even the odd beatles songs played in their own way , the second set was just as exciting even doing a longer set pleasing the crowd having a new bassist was making it rock ,. | |

 Even as a three piece this band are still a top class act playing all the blues and rock songs everybody wants to hear. They really have perfected the art of exciting the crowd into a frenzy - how come they are not doing it nationally? | |

| Now as a trio TDU can still give the crowd exactly what they crave, playing a blistering first set. The second set was even better, with the addition of harmonica for the blues songs. They sounded like a top class band, and the pub landlord even had a spell on the drums! | |

Come and meet out ne... Hello Tom
Come and meet out new guitarist Tom at Shortys on Sunday 28th May.
Recent other news includes the following;
Dan - has applied for the job of deputy prime minister as the perks seem good.
Chris - has been trying to find out if he is allowed to fill his watering can up from his hose pipe without breaking the law.
Paul - is trying to get picked for the England squad but said they keep moving the goalposts !

What do you think that you bring to the band?
"Several nasty diseases and the ability to see over high walls."
What do you need to be careful not to do whilst playing?
"Playing in tune - it ruins the whole vibe of the band"
Who would you say have been musical influences?
"My Dad - he played harmonica, accordion and the spoons, so I naturally took up the guitar."
What is your current favourite saying?
"I'll get my coat then...."
What is the best live gig you have ever seen?
"Yes on the Relayer tour in 1975 - amazing. The best gig I didn't see was Deep Purple at Knebworth 1985. It poured with rain all day so, drenched to the skin we took refuge in the car and listened to the gig from afar. The fireworks were good though!"
Do you feel you live the true Rock and Roll lifestyle?
"Oh yes, I wear a cardigan and slippers in the house and sometimes stay up until gone 11 pm"
How do you think other members of the band would describe you?
"Big."
How would you describe yourself?
"Bigger than the band reckon."
Favourite dish?
"My Sky satellite dish"
Favourite topic of conversation?
"Progressive Rock 1969 - 1974."
How would you sum yourself up in three words?
"Self taught genius"
And finally where would you see yourself in 5 years time?
"In a mirror I suppose."

| [Thu 21st Feb 08] (From eddie butler : gig at The Victoria, Hitchin on 16 February 2008) : t.d.u. were just playing out of their skins, first set was just warming up to a frenzy playing various beatles and stones songs, with a few blues, second set was just blisteringly hot stuff, even such a small playing area people were dancing till the end, baying for more, well done danny and the boys. - eddie butler | |
