Brilliant The Faith Stealers on Sun 1st Jul 07
The Faith Stealers played The Boot in St Albans on the day that the smoking ban was enforced, fortunately the band was smoking even if some punters had to stand outside for their fix!
I don't remember hearing a band do such powerful and heart-felt covers of true Mod classics. Their covers of the Small Faces were brilliant and to be honest if you couldn't see the band (which due to sitting behind a pillar I couldn't) you would think that Steve Marriot and the boys were in the pub. My personal favourite was Pinball Wizard that was played hard and fast with all the aggression that Pete Townsend shows when he plays it.
I'll definitely be looking out for their future gigs.

Great night of Brit & US music! All American Showcase on Mon 13th Nov 06
One of the best music nights I've ever been to, some GREAT UK talent led by Paul Watson who was excellent as usual both performing as well as hosting a great atmosphere, superbly backed up by J. Starck and James (sorry don't know your surname), with 'Bragg'ish' songs.
How on earth did Paul convince four excellent US acts to come off their UK tours and play in a little 15th C pub? I've no idea but he should do it again!
Raunchy, and powerful folk/rock from emily Zuzik, fabulous folky sounds from Chris Bernhard, crazy but beautiful melodies of the Bowman twins and a great finale from Will Hawkins and band.
I thoroughly recommend The Acoustic Sessions to anyone who loves music, likes great company with an ale or a wine, and enjoys some spontaneous humour!

Something for everyone Paul Watson on Tue 11th Apr 06
Having only been a resident of St. Albans for a few weeks I was surprised at the amount of live music offered with free admission, and this night was an excellent mix of good, very good and excellent musicians all playing on an open mic basis.

A real find Paul Watson on Wed 1st Feb 06
An intimate venue, a fantastic night of music! As a long time Tony Moore fan I was yet again blown away by his unwavering brilliance. The rest of the night's young acts were similarly impressive with an eclectic mix of acoustic music from evocative and pondering ballads to emotion filled, heartrenching stuff! A gem of a night - shouldn't be missed next time!

| Print Flyers | |
|
|
|
| Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page. | |
| Flyers limited to 14 days. Get longer flyers by joining Lemonrock - FREE Music Lover membership! | |
