Electro meets Rock Reggae The Hub, Plymouth on Fri 2nd Dec 05
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. The Madrips at the Hub were smoking... big sound, loud and clear. Unusual mix of sounds, especially keyboards with a nice electro element.

Brilliant!!! The Junction, Plymouth on Sat 3rd Sep 05
The Junction's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. A fresh new sound from a group of surfers from Constantine near Padstow. Had a brilliant night listening to the Madrips - they have a blend of styles that are hard to pinpoint - a mixture of Reggae, Ska, Classic Rock, Acid Jazz and Funk Hip Hop all blended into one fascinating sound that is hard to describe so the best thing to do is to go and check them out the next time they play!

Well worth seeing The Junction, Plymouth on Sat 3rd Sep 05
The Junction's pageReview edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Read about the gig in the Paper, always like to see bands from out of the area (Plymouth), So many bands claim to be different original bla bla, but the Madrips really are all this, but they didn't claim it!!! They just said their style was "North coast new wave" haha classic, I loved it, you can't help but listen and enjoy it, it's funny and it's happy but it's got a kind of dark edge especially in the lyrics!

Anyway if you've reached this page and wondering if they're worth seeing, do it do it do it! Even the townies were getting down to it!
