The Reds[Blues, 3 piece]
The RedsThe Reds are a 3 piece blues band based in East Devon, we have been together since early 2006, but we have all been playing the blues individually for a great many years, about 80 years in total.

The Reds play a blend of traditional to modern blues in a lively way that has gained us a very good reputation with most venues giving us repeat bookings.

We have a great sound and a stage lighting system to make sure we put on a great looking and sounding show, we make the effort to make our gigs a great event for the audience and us.

We take a pride in what we do and this is reflected in the hard work we put into giving the best show we can at every gig large or small, indoors or out.

We recorded an eight track CD in 2006 which sold well at all our gigs and is available for promotional use, We have attached clips of some of the songs to this page.

We love the blues, and we love playing the blues and we are dedicated to proving that the blues can be lively and fun and not slow and dreary as a lot of people believe.

The Reds Dartmouth Regatta, Dartmouth on Fri 31st Aug 07
Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. rated as one of our top reviews I did not know that the Blues was such good music, I thought it was all dreary stuff. The Reds played a brilliant set on Friday in a really nice open air setting in Dartmouth.

I, and all the people I was with enjoyed it very much. We look forward to seeing this band again and will watch the future gigs info.

The band all looked really cool, black suits and white shirts, really professional, the equipment looked and sounded great and the lighting was spot on.

The music was played with skill and with feeling and humour as well between the songs, what more could you ask.

The large audience looked to be enjoying the music and many were dancing, great balance between fast, mid and slow songs.

Great music, Great sound, Great lights.

Review edited by Lemonrock to improve readability, by consent of the band/artist, or owner of the page. Saw The Reds at Dartmouth regatta on Friday evening's outdoor gig on the bandstand.

Very impressive band for the music played and the way they looked, played and got the large audience dancing.

Really good sound for outdoors and great lighting as well.

Could not fault anything.

Fantastic Band, try to see them.

Print 3 flyers per A4 page, with marked cutting guides. Hint: setting your start date to the first of a month, and your end date to the last day of a month, gives a neat heading on your flyer, e.g. setting 1 May 2008 and 31 Aug 2008 as the start and end dates will produce the heading: 'MAY - AUGUST 08'. Try it! You can also set the font size to a decimal value (e.g. 9.3) to make the gigs fit exactly onto the page.

[Thu 23rd Aug 07] We are the Reds and we play th... We are the Reds and we play the Blues and that is all, we do not wander into the "Blues Rock" field and keep the music as honest as we can.

Andy Knight owns two Fender Strats also a Cort hollow bodied guitar, he uses Fender amplification.

Andy Mills plays a Pearl drum kit with a range of Paste cymbals.

Dave Rea owns Fender Precision and Fender Jazz basses, he uses Marshall and Harkte amplication.

We got together early 2006 and rehearsed hard to get the set as tight as we could before gigging, our first gig was in The Angel in Queen Street Exeter.

We have played at The Angel several times and that is where some of the photos on this site were taken.

We have added to the set list since we set out and have a good sound system and now added a stage light setup.

The three of us play well together and are able to improvise arrangements if we get into a roll on any of our set to enjoy ourselves.

I hope you get to see The Reds as we set our to enjoy ourselves and that is picked up by all the audiences we have played to.
