The Vibes are a Plymouth based indie band who have grown up listening and playing indie and rock music. our influences are; Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Razorlight and so on. the band consists of five members: Andy Brown (vocals), Phil Burgoyne (guitar), Phil Brown (guitar), Steve Flaxton (bass) and Paul Channing (drums). The band have been playing together for some time but have been gigging for about a year.

 Bang on! The Wheelers Arms, Torpoint on Sat 15th Mar 08 | |
 These guys deserve all their cracking reviews on this site 100%. The whole set up and delivery is dead good and each member of the band has something to contribute.
They played at our wedding reception on the 1st March 2008 in Totnes and banged out tune after tune which had everyone on the floor including the oldies. All our guests had so many good things to say about the band and were lining up at the end to find out where they often play. What makes the vibes stand out is not just the variety of songs which they cover, but how well they adjust from track to track to make each one unique. "Chelsea Dagger" and "Supersonic" went down a storm and they dropped in "Chasing Cars" to slow everything down just before the speeches, perfect!

What a great night at Kitty's, the place was absolutely buzzing from the first song to the last and if you stood still for a second you could literally feel the floor bouncing.
I've never seen the place so busy and will definitely be looking to check out the vibes again soon. I'm a regular follower of local bands and i just didn't want the night to end.
Best songs of the night for me were 'Chelsea Dagger' and 'I predict a riot', both played fantastically well and also some classic Stereophonics thrown in for good measure, Local Boy in the photograph... what a tune! | |

I was visiting relatives in Plympton and heard that The Vibes were playing at the Brook Inn, so thought I'd go along and was not disappointed.
The band played a large number of covers including stuff by The Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Razorlight and loads more and there didn't seem to be a weak link. My favourite was Dakota by The Stereophonics. Vocals were strong and the drummer was brilliant.
I understand that this was the first time the band had played at this venue, however it seemed as if all were enjoying it especially the staff.
They played one of their own tracks, which slipped seamlessly within the first set, a number of locals mistaking it for another band's track.
If you're after a really laid back evening, listening to great music then The Vibes are definitely the band to be seen.
They would fit well into the Manchester scene and look forward to seeing them in my local in the near future.

The Vibes are brilliant, they play at The Mutley Crown on a regular basis and everyone has a great night every time. The band play so well together and vocals are just excellent.
They play a load of great songs- my personal favourite Dakota by The Stereophonics - and also stuff by The Fratellis, Greenday, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and loads more.
Atmosphere is always amazing on a Vibes night - have seen them a few times now and its always a pleasure to see them come back.
If you like great live music, you need to see The Vibes. | |

| [Thu 27th Mar 08] (From Milly : gig at The Wheelers Arms, Torpoint on 15 March 2008) : The Vibes played at out wedding at Kitley House on Good Friday. They were amazing, the highlight for me was Mr Brightside. Our mates danced all night and everyone was gutted when they had finished. Virtually everyone who came, came up and told us that the band had made their night and wanted to know when they could catch them again. Kitley said it was one of the best wedding bands they had ever had.
