A great honour to be chosen from all the TJ Tributes in the UK by Liza - Wales' top female cabaret vocalist, who lives up the hill from Laura Street (Tom's old home in Treforest). Simon Cowell described her as " a Mini with a Ferrari engine!" Liza is also a vocal coach & music teacher.
Ian performed in Granada TVs Stars In Their Eyes - UK Theatre tour with Bradley Walsh as compere (starting at Her Majesties Theatre - London), appearing with the grand finalists from the TV show.
He is the most requested Tom Jones Tribute show in Wales & with his work in the UK & Worldwide, he's the busiest International Tom Jones tribute singer you can find. He has performed from Dubai to Greece to Barbados & is known in the industry as The Voice.
Appearances include GMTV with Keith Chegwin in South Wales, BBC, Channel 5 (advert), Granada/ITV1(London Marathon Charity event) & Sky TV (Hull Kingston Rovers -15000 super league crowd).
He supported Frank Carson at the Paradise Club in Tenerife, the legendary Swinging Blue Jeans at the Elefante in Spain, sang to Alan Shearer & Sir Bobby Robson at the Hilton Newcastle & to snooker legend Willie Thorne at the Gala Casino in Northampton.
Ian has had many honours over the past 10 years. From the Gold Award from Music Events London, recording a demo the Price of Coal, for Sir Tom himself (mp3 below), headlining on board the Ocean Village cruise ship 12 times in the Caribbean, performing at Wales major venue the Millennium stadium a record 4 times and promoting Tom Jones' Party in Hyde Park for Tom in 2002.
He played the Dilmun Club in Bahrain in 2003 and at the fabulous 6 Star Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai in 2008 for the Welsh Ex-Pats Association & has now been asked to perform in Abu Dhabi.
Ian has taken his show worldwide with gigs in South America, Antigua, Algarve, Barbados, Bahrain, Caribbean, Isla Marghuerita in Venezuela, Costa-del-Sol, Dubai, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Jersey, Scotland and Ireland - just some of the countries he has played.
Signed by Pontypridd's only tribute agency-Spotlight Promotions (12th Welsh tribute agency), Ian has just played Gilfach Goch Club & Llantwit Major (Beddau) Welfare Club - in Pontypridd with Liza Starlight from the X-FACTOR (Tom Jones performed at both clubs in 1961 as Tommy Scott & The Senators).
